[Hardcore] Cry Wolf – Panther

North Carolina dub rockers Cry Wolf are making big noises lately. Fusing hardcore rhythms and synths with indie melodies and pop remixes, these guys are making a “multi-genre mutation” all their own. With remixes of Eminem, Outkast, Cherub, The Killers and even a little JT, pretty much all the tracks on their Soundcloud page are bangers of the highest caliber. Most are up for free download so get at that while their still on the rise. These guys are sure to blow up soon with their diverse range and raging synths. Smashing faces at SXSW Music festival was only the start for this promising duo so be sure to look out for them on tour soon!

Everybody knows the smooth indie dance numbers of trio Miike Snow by now, and we’re stoked to find this remix of their latest single “Devil’s Work” from Florida based up-and-comer Henry Fong. The track moves nicely from Miike Snow’s distinct vocals into a slamming electro house banger, even dipping into dub for extra punch. Today we’ve got some brand new heavy hitting dubstep from UK based Tut Tut Child of the crew Beastmode. This cut has everything we need from a bigroom bass cut. Face shredding bass, switched up tempos, bright arpeggios and a Skrillex-esque aggressive sample to round out the drop. [New EP] Gramatik – #digitalfreedom

Gramatik has really set a new standard for relevance in an electronic music project this time. With the ultramodern hashtag title #digitalfreedom, Gramatik’s new masterpiece is dedicated to the invasive internet censorship laws that are looming overhead. Gramatik hopes to raise awareness against ACTA SOPA and PIPA and any other bill that wants to give corporations the power to regulate and censor the internet. Luckily there are also large corporations on the other side of the tracks like Wikipedia and Google, but its going to take an army to keep the internet free. What better way to rally the troops then to put out a bangin’ album!

In addition to its strong message, this album has some great tunes with real development to them. Along the course of the 5 song EP Gramatik effortlessly switches up between dubstep, glitch hop and nu disco, all with a signature swag all his own. Stepping up the energy level and the tempo on many new tracks, Gramatik explores new territories on this album and we’re all for it. Live tour member F.A.Q. adds some especially nice guitar lines to the mix and the entire album is organic and funky all around. With support from Pretty Lights Music on the release and a fresh national tour with Break Science and Paul Basic in the works, we’re confident Gramatik will be reaching massive audiences in the future to share his message with. In a real way he is has the power to affect the music industry he thrives in. That’s some realness if I’ve ever heard it. Dawn Golden & Rosy Cross is the new ambient vocal project by Dexter Tortoriello of Chicago upbringing. His debut EP “Blow Remixed”, out now via Mad Decent, is self-described as “a melancholy familiarity, like going back to the house where you grew up and finding it the way you left it, only 10 years later and everything is falling apart”. This project is full of “sad bangers” for when you need some bass with your tears. With remixes along those same lines from JayceK, Stenchman, Arrange, The Get, Dntl and Shlomo this album might not get you amped up but its great for traveling or sorting through those emotions you have buried somewhere deep inside. [House] Marco Lys – Can’t Get Enough EP

Marco Lys is one the original producers that helped define the sound of Rising Music over the years. After producing Chris Lake’s hit album “Cross The Line”, Lys has been back in the studio working on some seriously groovy cuts of his own. On his new EP “Can’t Get Enough” he brings some of the most infectious house beats we’ve heard in a while. With awesome guitar lines and catchy vocals on the title track “Can’t Get Enough” and some great horns and synth risers on “Not Really (All My Mind Games)”, its easy to see why Lys has been successfully getting down for so many years. Wolfgang Gartner is arguably the godfather of modern electro house. Through pioneering the “broken beat” or “complextro” sound of chopped up synth bass lines coupled with slamming 4 on the floor drums, Gartner has carved out a spot for himself at the top of the dance music game. His latest single “Push and Rise” couples his signature style with Daft Punk-esque robot vocals for a blissful club banger. Newcomer PrototypeRaptor gives us some fresh “push it” samples and chops up the original nicely.
