[Dubstep] Rednek ft. Sean Byrne – Conspiracy

Rednek has been making a ruckus in the Dubstep community ever since he released his debut track “I Am Not Skrillex”. This UK producer’s reputation has continued to grow daily due to a consistent stream of heavy remixes and originals, all with that certain Rednek attitude to them. When I opened for him a while back I would tell this guy was serious about taking over the scene and it seems that aspiration is starting to come true. His latest single “Conspiracy” really steps up his production chops a notch or two with some intricate wobble synths, a seriously catchy reggae style vocal from Sean Byrne and effortless switchups between drum n bass and dubstep rhythms. As you can tell from the video below, there is a certain humor to Rednek that gives him the underdog advantage, and we can’t wait to see what trouble he gets into in 2012.

[Dubstep] Skrillex ft. Damian Marley – Untitled (Rudeboy)

It was only a matter of time before dubstep giant Skrillex and legendary reggae singer Damian Marley found a project to collaborate on. Well it looks like that time has come. In this still unreleased, untitled track (speculatively titled “Rudeboy” but that is likely to change due to a similarly titled song from Zeds Dead), Skrillex brings his signature sirens and deep bass which mesh quite well with Damian Marley’s rasta stylings. Look out for an extended version of this to be released in the near future on OWSLA.

[Disco House] Supermen Lovers – Say No More (Jupiter Remix)

Here at The Music Ninja we love music from France. Something about the city of lights makes for some infectious disco grooves. Take for example the latest release from Parisian nu disco producers The Supermen Lovers titled “Say No More”. Self described as sounding like “Giorgio Moroder painted black with a bass guitar and a magic Red Bull Viagra cocktail” these guys have a sharp ear for all things glitter. Adding to the mix is fellow Parisian duo Jupiter. They took the classic disco grooves of “Say No More” and chopped them up a bit to create a smooth little nu wave-meets-electroclash number. Its tunes like these that make Paris the undisputed disco capitol of the world, but until we can visit one day we’ll have to boogie vicariously through Soundcloud!

[Fresh] Fast Foot ft. MC Cyanide – You’re Dead (Figure Remix)

It can easily be argued that nobody goes harder than Indiana native Figure. His production and performance skills in the realm of bass music are recognized as some of the best in the business and whenever you need some heavy artillery for your sets or listening destruction you know who to call upon. In his latest remix of obscure artists Fast Foot and MC Cyanide on the track “You’re Dead”, Figure yet again brings his heavy duty drumstep meets DnB meets dubstep tactics. Its always dope how many times he switches up the texture and rhythm on his tracks and this remix is a great example. Each phrase is different yet equally as dark and destructive as the last. We can’t wait until Figure sweeps through a town near us on his summer tour and don’t forget he always puts up tons of free music downloads on his website. Thanks for keeping keeping it harder than Doomsday’s knuckles Figure we appreciate it!
