I Can't Help It

Summer is nearly upon us and we’re all looking to take off those layers, put on our bathing suits, and make a direct beeline for the beach. Now imagine you’re driving along the coast in a Jeep Wrangler against a warm breeze, music’s on blast, and you don’t have a care in the world. This picture is exactly what Boston-based duo, Aer, draws for you with their latest release, “I Can’t Help It.”

The song is an easy listen with its So-Cal vibe and feel-good lyrics, which revive those vivid memories of a summer romance. The plucking of a guitar creates a light-hearted chord progression that places the image of a sunset in your mind. Meanwhile, the vocals bring you back to your youth, reminding you of why Summer is your favorite time of the year. So while you’re digging around for that swimwear, get yourself amped for the next few months with a listen to “I Can’t Help It,” which you can snag on iTunes here.

[Future Trap] Slumberjack – The Others (NGHTMRE Remix)

Slumberjack
The Others feat. KLP (NGHTMRE Remix)

As most of you already know, NGHTMRE has a pretty huge tendency to go ham on tracks, and if you didn’t already know, this remix of his will make it quite clear. It also should be said that Slumberjack goes hard as well. Those who are familiar with Slumberjack’s original “The Others,” know that the track is pretty insane. But let NGHTMRE put his spin on the track, and it becomes something epic. “The Others” takes on a transformation as the tempo becomes quicker, the bass kicks harder, and the drop contains a more concentrated melody. As always, NGHTMRE exhibits some incredible creativity with production that always puts listeners on the edge of their seats. So crank up the bass, sit back, and get ready for your mind to be blown.

[Trap] XVII – Anax

XVII
Anax

XVII has completely out done himself this time, creating the summer Trap anthem, dubbing it “Anax”. After his last release, a flip of Alison Wonderland’sU Don’t Know”, we have all been patiently waiting to see what the young Trap lord is going to come out with next. The song begins with XVII’s signature melodic and ambient build-ups, leading into vocal chops that cue the drive of the build-up. Listeners are then suddenly met with a powerful lion’s roar followed by a drop that will remind you of old school RL Grime. The tune’s horns and percussions are also remarkably on point, providing you with a sound that can only be described as an orchestral party.
