[Future] MS MR – Dark Doo Wop (Birthday Boy Version)

Birthday Boy
MS MR- Dark Doo Wop (Birthday Boy Version)

When it comes to remixes, there are only a few outcomes that can be reached: the remixes that take a beautiful original and in the simplest of words, destroy it, the ones that take a song and turn it into something even better than the original, and finally the ones that take a great track, and transform it into a divergent product of just as much greatness and quality. Most of you can probably agree that music such as MS MR’s is borderline flawless to say the very least, and to renovate any of their tracks is a pretty bold move.

After successfully astonishing all of us at TMN with his feel-good remix of Beyonce’s “Party,” Birthday Boy once again catches us off guard with his latest remix of MS MR’s “Dark Doo Wop.” Maintaining the fun, care-free sound we first heard in his “Party” remix, Birthday Boy mixes in some hints of funk while preserving the mysteriousness that betokens MS MR.

Though many of you may be die-hard fans of the original, may we strongly suggest you give this rendition a listen. It differs much, but is just as sweet to the ear.

[Trap] Zooly Feat. Thurz – Same Shit

ZOOLY FT. THURZ
SAME SHIT

When it comes to EDM, a sub-genre that makes a heavy statement such as trap can be hard to combine with a vocalist. Though when the right combination of voice and production is finally found, the next obstacle is to achieve a balance that allows the production to stand out without overpowering the vocals. A perfect example of this balance is Zooly’s latest release, “Same Shit” featuring Thurz.
This twerky original from the Los Angeles artists is a slapper in every way, and it doesn’t waste any time in getting down to business. So after you’re done shaking your rump and getting crunk to “Same Shit,” go and download it for free.

Adderall (Gazzo & Sweekuh Remix)

As we have mentioned before, collaborations are one of our favorite things at TMN. You’re getting to listen to a completely new product, a mixture of the different musical elements of two artists to create a unique outcome. Recently, we got whiff of a collab including East coast producers Gazzo and Sweekuh, and may we tell you it is one hell of a treat to the ears.

Considering many of us are still enduring the struggles of college, the boys released their remix of The Heydaze original catchy pop tune, “Adderall” just in time for finals. With the incredible energy produced by an infectious melody and a toe-tapping beat, the track easily soothes the mind during any time of stress, or misery for those of us who got screwed by finals. New fresh meat taking the finals are better off today since they have a better alternative in Modafinil. The smart drug can also be easily obtained from BuyModafinilOnline. Adderall is a very tricky drug and will often have a a considerable side effect. Do not worry if you are about to take the finals, there will always be a way to make things better. So take a breather and check out the tune that will inevitably put you in the best of spirits for the holidays.

Make Me Fade

Vanic. Where do we even begin? All you have to do is hit play, and you’re hooked. Vanic and K.Flay truly make an amazing team. About a month ago we were graced with Vanic’s remix of K.Flay’s “Can’t Sleep” and now the two join forces once again for their most recent release, “Make Me Fade.” The track was originally released on K.Flay’s “Life as a Dog” album, which managed to place 14th on the billboard Rap Chart just this past summer.

Ninjas, take a second to set aside what you’re doing for the next four minutes and thirty seven seconds and check out this incredible track. What we have here is an artist that is truly innovating the scene and we are really happy to support this type of music here at TMN. We are looking forward to catching a live show in 2015!

[Future Trap] Clean Bandit Feat. Jess Glynne – Rather Be (DJ Mustard Remix)

Clean Bandit Ft. Jess Glynne
Rather Be (DJ Mustard Remix)

A few days overdue, but this remix is too epic for it to not get some TMN light shed on it. Many of you are already very familiar with the name DJ Mustard, or at least with the popular phrase “Mustard on the beat, hoe.” Starting to ring a bell? If you still aren’t sure who he is, we can assure you that at least 70% of the hip hop songs you hear on the radio are produced by this guy.

Considering that Mustard is notorious for his hip hop production and his signature four note melodies, it may come to many as a major surprise that he is releasing a remix. Not only that, but this remix touches the future area of EDM with a bit of trap mixed in. Let us just tell you that our jaws dropped after first listen.

DJ Mustard’s remix of Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be” is as sexy as it is badass. First deceiving listeners with the exact same opening as the original, he throws in a subtle difference via a catchy beat cued by his all too familiar catch phrase. This then opens up to a futuristic breakdown constructed by some incredible EQing and mixing followed by pure bass and melody. Only expect the unexpected with this one.

It’s always a pleasant surprise when two artists join forces to create a track and, even more so, when those are artists have vastly different musical styles. That is why we are super stoked to see the names LooKas and SMLE on the same record.

If you are familiar with either of the artists, then you know that LooKas always brings the bass while SMLE have proved themselves as masters of future and funk. The blend of festival trap and futuristic funk on “6 A.M.” makes for the perfect balance of party and chill. The track shifts from soft and innocent to hard and intense while an evolving tempo, thus keeping listeners on their toes at all times.

[Electronic] Vanic X Zella Day – Hypnotic

Hypnotic

One thing we love here at TMN is coming across those artists who are absolutely consistent with their quality of music. It’s difficult for artists, especially in EDM, to find their own sound–a sound that sells to a diverse audience–and stick with it while not letting that sound get lost in the over-saturated music of today.

Vanic is an artist who still has yet to release a product that hasn’t surprised or stunned his listeners. We’ve been a fan of his music for quite some time now, and though his sound has developed a bit in that period, it still has Vanic written all over it.

For his most recent release, Vanic brilliantly remixes Zella Day‘s “Hypnotic,” turning it into something of an electronic masterpiece. Vanic spices up the the original (which is already composed of an underlying dark harmony that presents you with a feeling of mystery) in a way that is so hot, your sound system may or may not catch on fire. He transforms the song into pure sex (try to think Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show finale) that will leave you begging for more.
