Getting released on a label is always a big thing for an up-and-coming artist. Being the first artist supported by a brand new label is huge too. However, getting full support from an absolute legend like DJ Shadow on his brand new label is a whole different animal.
Dropping on the newly formed Liquid Amber, Bleep Bloop is getting an approving nod from turntablist DJ Shadow on his brand new label. The EP, aptly named 10 Watt Lazers, features three bass-heavy, lazer-inspired tunes, all of which are expertly produced. Kicking things off is the title track, which is a cosmic, ear-splitting, grin-inducing single from this Northern Cali basshead. It certainly delivers on multiple levels, but we’re admittedly more drawn to the second track, “Denial.”
With some heavy 808s, glitchy synths, and a classic trap-style vocal sample, “Denial” is one that’s sure to play nicely on the dancefloor, in your car, or in a nice set of cans. Just make sure you don’t blow your speaks, as any of these three bass-laden monsters are likely to do.
Pick these up for free ninety nine on Liquid Amber’s soundcloud, and throw them a follow while you’re at it.
