Helicopter Showdown & MSD – Heaven Sent (Synchronice Remix)

The New Jersey brothers, Synchronice, are back at it this time with a crazy remix of Helicopter Showdown and MSD’s “Heaven Sent”. The thing Will and James bring to all their remixes is their own touch of sound. They start the song off as if you are floating around in heaven, some soft lyrics mixed with some relaxing melodies. Slowly the beat begins to quicken and you open your eyes to realize heaven looks a lot like a giant show, at 1:08 the devil comes to party and party he does well letting that bass drop. The boys keep the beat radiating before heading back to drift on the clouds of heaven and then at 2:49 devil round two. Oh Jersey dirtys this song is another notch off the old belt for you two. The thing with with Synchronice is, they just keep getting better. The drops keep getting louder, the bass keeps vibrating my eardrums more, and the way they can mix different moods into their songs keeps working to a T. Keep at it you two angels you.

[Mixtape] Kilo Kish – K+

Female emcees have been on the up and coming this past year or so and in 2013 they continue to drop some unique material. With Brooklyn-based Kilo Kish‘s mixtape K+, she takes a more experimental approach to her rhyme flow. With features from Earl Sweatshirt, SBTRKT, Childish Gambino, Star Slinger, Flatbush Zombies, Vince Staples, and A$AP Ferg, and many more, this free 10-track tape is a chill, dope session introduction into her world. Mixing some intricate Internet-y vibes and synth rhythms with a charming lyrically delivery, there is something to like about this newcomer. Although each track flows and blends well into the next, some standout tracks are “Creepwave” (which you can stream below) and Neptune-esque “iou”.

[R&B/Chill] Rich Hil – Nomads ft The Weeknd

The apple seems to fall from the tree. As the son of the well-known designer Tommy Hilfiger, Rich Hil drops some new tunes for the interwebs this week. Mixing dark tunes with his raspy voice, this singer croons over an atmospheric beat complete with snares and hi-hats on the single “Nomads”. Almost a drug-induced feel and vibe, it is only right that he recruits the talents of the drug-and-sex oriented Canadian singer The Weeknd to emphasize the “tortured-soul” vibe of Hillfiger’s rebelious son’s painful lyircs. A theme that can be heard throughout his entire debut album SYLDD. As a huge gift to the fans and a middle-finger to his record label, Hil released his debut album for free here, via Noisey.
