Taking the web this past week for the nostalgic #Throwback Thursdays, mega-producer Danja leaked a new track from M.I.A. via Youtube titled “Doobie”. The previously unreleased track, recorded during “Bad Girls”, is a fast-paced synth heavy dance track dedicated to that little plant known for placing people on cloud 9. It is not clear whether this track will be on M.I.A’s upcoming project Matangi, whose release was pushed back for being “too positive”, but this short and infectious track is definitely a banger. Be sure to check it out below.

[Mega Playlist] Ultra 2013 Preview
At the turn of the year, there’s always a few things we get excited for. There’s always the excitement of new Music Ninja programs we’re launching, plans of grandeur for the upcoming year, new album releases, and of course, music festivals. We’re just out of the gate for 2013, and we have to say, we’re really stoked for what lies ahead.
First up on our list of festivals is the largest electronica festival in North America. The setting is perfect, as Miami is already a hub for the scene. But when you take the party outside, onto Bayfront Park, you know you’re in for an epic weekend.
With the announcement of the Phase 2 Lineup, we thought it would be a perfect time to share some of our favorite tracks from the performing artists this year. So here’s our 2013 Ultra Music Festival Mega Playlist. Once you listen to it, head over and pick up your tickets.

Being regulars at Beta, we figured we should share their line up with you, in hopes that you’ll come down and rage with us. Also, just like last time, we have arranged for something special.
MUSIC NINJAS GET FREE COVER

Can’t wait to see you down there!
[Remix] Azealia Banks – Fierce (Josh Peace Mustache Redux)
For the better half of the past year, rapper Azealia Banks remained relatively quiet when it came to dropping new material. Kicking off 2013, she not only is dropping diss tracks to fellow emcee Angel Haze, copping guest spots on Beyonce‘s upcoming new album, but she is gracing fans with a new remix to her Fantasea mixtape track “Fierce”. The dance worthy track gets a reworking from indie DJ Josh Peace and production from Drums of Death. Complete with a quicker tempo, synths, drums and bass, and extended lyrics from Franklin Fuentes.
[NEW] Atoms for Peace – Judge Jury and Executioner
Mixing haunting vocals with an organic and electronic blended sound, the new group Atoms for Peace create a bleak but rhythmic track titled “Judge Jury and Executioner”. The second single off their upcoming XL records debut album AMOK, dropping February 26th, is a Radiohead-esque textured song. Fronted by Thom Yorke on vocals, guitars, and keys, Atoms for Peace brings together Nigel Godrich on programming and production, legendary musician Flea on bass, Joey Waronker on drums, and Mauro Refosco on percussion to create a uniquely unexpected smooth track.

Help us vote Beta Nightclub as a Top 100 Club!
Not many nightclubs reach out to the emerging music blog scene and few are able to really come up with exciting ways to give music fans what they deserve. DJMAG is putting up their yearly contest of the top 100 clubs and through our relationship with them, and the many new upcoming artist they promote every week, we are confident in saying Beta deserves a top spot on the list.
