[Remix EP] Krewella – Play Harder

Krewella recently released this mind-altering Remix EP titled, Play Harder and it’s chock-full of insane tuneage, featuring remixes from Chuckie, Dirtyphonics, KillaGraham, Mutrix, Cash Cash & Dj Kalkutta, Stephen Swartz, Pegboard Nerds, and Jakob Leidholm.

Starting off with Chuckie‘s dirty dutch makeover, transforming “Killin It” into Big Room electro banger firing on all cylinders. Next is KillaGraham, and he throws down a filthy Glitch Hop remix that starts with some heavy guitar mixed with infectious vocals; it’s another winner. Murtix drops a bangin Moombah remix capturing the filthier side of “Killin It” for one of the most unique tracks on the EP. Cash Cash & Dj Kalkutta’s remix has gotten some really good feedback, as well as the Pegboard Nerds remix which was released about a week ago.

Make sure to check out the rest on your own and don’t miss their Drum & Bass single, “Come & Get It”.

[Throwback] Cleveland Lounge – Drowning (AK1200 & Aphrodite)

While we love checking out new music all the time, sometimes you just have to look in the rear view mirror. “Drowning” was originally released by Cleveland Lounge (Dave Aude) and has been remixed 100 times over. The vocals are some that resonate deeply for us, as we heard these years and years ago when we first came on the scene.

For some reason these lyrics have been stuck in our heads as of late, so while this track is ancient by “internet time” standards, we feel like it’s time to pay tribute to a classic. Both Aphrodite and AK12OO had great DnB remixes of this track, so we’d like to give a big Ninja solute to both.

[Fresh] M.I.A. – Attention

After her controversial performance at last year’s superbowl, M.I.A. has been laying low and relatively quiet with new music. Thanks to her loyal  fans and high demand, the rebellious English artist blessed fans with a new track titled “AtTENTion”. Filled with drums, synths and reggae rips, this computerized leak has an experimental funky sound that M.I.A. is known for. Coupled with her sporadic rhyming, she demands your attention by rhyming almost every line with “-Tent”.  Although it is not clear whether or not this will be on her upcoming effort Matanagi, due next year, be sure to check out the free track below.
