[Introducing] Synchronice – EP [TMN Premiere]

You know that saying, “it runs in the family”? Well that is precisely the phrase that should be thrown around when talking about Synchronice, the duo from New Jersey made up of brothers James and Will Saulsky. These boys have been producing sound pounding tracks for about only two years but are well known around the music industry sharing the stage with the likes of Dillion Francis, Dada Life and Felix Cartel. The brothers are known for their ability to mix various genres of music blending powerful electro elements with dirty bass or combining progressive house with some swanky groove mixture.

Synchronice shows just how much they can mix with the release of some body moving new tracks. TMN is proud to premiere, for your ears’ hearing pleasure,  two unforgettable tracks from the brothers with the full EP available on their website. Synchornice puts their spin on T.A.T.U’s “All the Things She Said”, combining a mix of pulse racing house beats with the vocals, the boys show just how much energy they can put into an older track. The remix of Karmin’s “Brokenhearted” has the boys showing their dirty bass side. While keeping the vocals strewn throughout the tune, Synchronice keeps the song moving with pulsating electro beats combined with calming buildups to want-to-make-you-dance house knocks.

One thing is for certain, these blonde brothers from Jersey have barely scratched the surface of the music world. These boys are going to continue to wow fans with their knack to create new genre sounds and their ability to put pounding vibrations through each and every person listening to their music. Move over Partridge Family, the Synchronice boys are here to party.

[Live Review] Skylab – Mission Blackout

If there’s one thing you need to know about Denver, it’s that it has a kick-ass music scene. Between Beta, Triad Dragons, a plethora of smaller promoters, and the best live music venue in the country, this city has it going on. Skylab – Mission Blackout was a perfect example of what I just described.

A look at the headliners is reason enough to guess that this show was epic. Gareth Emery, Zedd, and Porter Robinson graced the space-themed stage, and each one threw down an impressive set. Porter’s was especially filthy, which made the steamy room drip with energy even more.

By now you know that Dragon and Jontron are buddies of ours, which means this next part shouldn’t surprise you. One of our favorite parts was them closing the night out. They flew in Lea Luna for a live vocal performance. This added a unique twist onto a rager of a night. At the end of their performance, we all got to stand onstage and boogie as they closed up shop.

If you’re in or around Denver, and you haven’t checked out a Triad Dragon’s show, you’re sorely missing out. Make sure to catch the next one.

Big shout out to Blurred Pictures for the screengrabs from their upcoming video.

[Experimental] SBTRKT – Terminal

We haven’t heard too much from the innovative U.K. based producer SBTRKT since his debut self-titled album inspired awe among both fans and critics last year. Although SBTRKT is often placed in the EDM genre, his experimentation with bass and unique percussion truly separates him from his colleagues. His latest track, “Terminal,” perfectly embodies the masked artist’s style drawing the listener in with an addicting and evolving loop that warps for just a second creating a sort of anxiety for its return. Despite the low-key feel, you will find it difficult to resist a bouncy head nod induced by this original creation. Check it below!

[Live Show Review] Figure – Denver, CO

There are some artists who make their presence known before they even make it onto the stage. They have made a name for themselves and before they dominate their set, the audience is ready to unleash their ever loving praise onto that artist.

Enter said artist, Figure.

Josh Gard, aka Figure, has been an admired artist for a long time but only recently in the past few years has been making his name known and his sound praised for his ability to bring the bass in and around every show. Figure’s Super Sonic Brain Wave tour has been busting brain cells from coast to coast and Denver was no exception. He started the night strong and dropped the heavy beats right away, never letting up for even one minute of his set. Figure mixed a selection of deep base and rap, threw in some piano and tantalizing drum solos and put his Drumstep touch on songs by artists such as Dolly Parton and Kanye West. One thing is for certain, the packed crowd at Cervantes never stopped moving throughout Figure’s whole set and they were still feeling his bass drops throughout their brains the next day, go Figure.

Sending vibrations from floorboard to floorboard, Vinnie Maniscalco, Lazerdisk Party Sex and Robotic Pirate Monkey opened the night with uncontrollable energy. Vinnie used his turntables to do what he does best; rub a massive amount of bass in the audience’s face. Next, the boys of Lazerdisk, Pres and ZJ, tore the stage apart and “set it off” one dirty beat after another. Last but certainly not least, the three bad boy monkeys of RPM got down to business with their beat-tastic remixes of Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent and Snoop Dog. Rocking DJs, pulsating bass drops, engaging video sets, the audience could not have been more captivated. Thank you boys for giving my ears and feet a much needed dirty beat work out.
