Last night I watched Krewella absolutely destroy Ruby Skye in San Francisco. So it’s only appropriate that I stumble upon this brain scrambling remix of their track “One Minute” from DotEXE. This is Drumstep at it’s finest, featuring some sexy vocal editing to enhance the already amazing voices from these sexy beasts we know as Krewella. Improving a production from this group is quite a task but DotEXE did some serious work especially with this first drop. This remix just hits at all the right times allowing me to once again, be completely obsessed with a Krewella track. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Cheers.

[Dubstep/Drum & Bass/Electro] Zomboy – The Dead Symphonic EP
Never Say Die Records has without a doubt established itself as one of the strongest labels in EDM, known for its heavy bass music riddled with thunderous bass, screeching synths and ferocious wobbles. Today, over a year after the release of his Game Time EP, Never Say Die prodigy Joshua Mellody AKA Zomboy has graced us with his newest work of art, The Dead Symphonic EP. Zomboy’s sophomore release, The Dead Symphonic consists of six original productions, which clearly draw from various influences while still emphasizing his signature undead symphonic melodies.
On this EP, Zomboy takes the opportunity to flex his productional finesse, showcasing not only his creativity but also his versatility as a producer. No two tracks sound alike yet each track when broken down clearly embodies the sound design and productional aspects Zomboy utilized when forging his persona and reputation amongst all EDM. Highlights from the EP include, “City 2 City” which intertwines the alluring vocals of Belle Humble with high-pitched synths and heavy bass to create a more progressive dubstep tune. Also featured on the EP is a “Vancouver Beatdown,” Zomboy’s first real introduction into the genre of electro house. “Vancouver Beatdown” is a funky electro track, which takes the listener on a musical journey from buildup to breakdown, all the while emphasizing his trademark sounds in a new light. Another amazing track on the EP, and possibly my favorite, “Nuclear (Hands Up),” is a fresh drum and bass tune, featuring a fantastic reggae vocals sample that interplays flawlessly with the overall cadence of drum and bass while still emphasizing a healthy dose of fierce wobbles and grinding bass. All in all, this EP is nothing short of spectacular!
Do yourself a favor and make sure to give each track a listen. If you’re a fan, pick up the EP on Beatport here and make sure to show Zomboy some appreciation for his hard work on Facebook.

[HOT] Kill The Noise – Kill The Noise (Part 1)
Jake Stanczak, AKA the notorious dubstep pioneer Kill The Noise, is no ordinary club sensation. He’s spent years dropping dance-floor hits, and his experimental side has seen him take genres and tear them apart before fusing them with something completely different. “Kill The Noise (Part 1)” has just been given the video treatment by Mike Diva, and it centres on a garish neon LA, filled with zombies and gore, the perfect setting for Stanczak’s hi-octane bass-buster.
Kill The Noise’s Kill Kill Kill EP is out now on OWSLA.

[Drum & Bass] Sub Focus – Tidal Wave feat. Alpines (Preview)
OWSLA’s own Sub Focus (Nick Douwma) teases us with a preview of his next, impending single “Tidal Wave.” The drum & bass signature sound is alive and well, where it is sure to ease your body into rhythmic motion. Given the artist’s roots in producing multiple hits throughout his illustrious career, this track is by no means devoid of creativity and flawless construction. Be sure to keep an eye out for a new album from Sub Focus sometime before the end of the year.
[Drum & Bass/Dubstep] Drumsound & Bassline Smith – Through The Night EP
Finally, after months of anticipation, UK Drum and Bass heavyweights Drumsound and Bassline Smith grace us with their Through The Night EP. The original track is a solid liquid Drum and Bass tune which utilizes delicate vocals from Tom Cain, to develop a unique melodic feel not always present in Drum and Bass. Also, featured on the EP are remixes from Bare Noize, 501, and Horx & P3000. Bare Noize and Horx & P3000 bring their own unique dubstep interpretations to the track, slowing down the original and emphasizing the vocals with aggressive synths and snarling bass. The 501 remix appears to be the most original of the remixes, completely transforming the track from start to finish. 501’s production is immaculate adding fierce wobbles and laser synths to create massive buildups and drops making his rendition a true dubstep banger. None of these tracks are something you want to miss out on so give the EP a listen and make sure to support the artists on Beatport.
