[Secret Ninja Pass] Beta’s 7 Year Anniversary Weekend 5/21-5/25

So many amazing DJs. So many memorable sets. So many late nights. So many mornings with sore legs and a mild hangover. Looking back, it’s hard to remember exactly how many shows we’ve been to at this storied Denver nightclub, but we know it’s been a lot. This weekend will help put that into perspective, as Beta celebrates its 7th anniversary.

In true Beta fashion, they’re doing things big. How big? Try five days of events. That’s right, tonight through Monday, you have five can’t miss shows to hit. Luckily for you, we can get you into a few of them for free.

Following his last remix “Deer Stared At Me”, Clayjay is back with yet another crazy track. He knew he had to give this track a change-up as soon as he heard it for the first time, and the results are stupendous. Reworking Made In Height‘s “Panther”, the talented producer infused sharp synths and a chill trap beat to further bring out the ominous vibe of the original. The drums put accent to Clayjay’s signature sound, and the strings are kept to create the constant suspense throughout the tune.

The unique sound of Clayjay continues to impress us. It’s no question that the 18-year-old producer is well on his way to become a dominant force in the future trap scene. Make sure to grab this as a free download and show some support!

There’s a few things we know about The Magician: he’s Belgian, he makes good music, and he’s magical as hell. Following the success of his last original “Sunlight”, The Magician is back with another hit, this time venturing into future house territories. The smooth vocals set the scene for the heavyhitting bass synths, which provide catchy bounces to the drop that will seriously cause an adrenaline overload for all listeners. The bells that start off the tune are also there to end it, adding a surreal and mysterious vibe to the mix.

There’s literally nothing The Magician cannot do. This new track follows the sound of the future, and the Belgian absolutely crushed it. It’s safe to say he’s got more tricks up his sleeves than we could all imagine.

We’re in the middle of a historically dreary stretch of weather in Denver. It’s gray, cold, and rainy, and there’s no sign of anything different coming our way. We’ve exhausted our “Summer Playlists,” trying to bring some semblance of sunshine to our daily routine. We’re taking a different route today, instead embracing the grey with music to match.

This isn’t experience with our first with ØRKA. Last month, we brought you our first discovery of the intriguing Miami-based producer, and now we are happy to present his second original production, “Phantom.”

Dabbling somewhere in the electronica realm due to its fusion of organic elements – a dreary guitar melody, a pacifying vocal performance, and electronic additives – all that bolster the overall power of his compositional parts. It casually flirts with associations of artists both classic and modern, calling on associations of both Pink Floyd and James Vincent McMorrow.

Once again, ØRKA has graciously offered up his music as a free download for all to enjoy. We suggest you head over and pick it up, taking a few minutes to get helplessly lost in its stunning beauty.

No newcomers to these pages, Aussie club shakers Human Movement have been like a breath of fresh air to our dance fed Ninja lungs. And by fresh air, we mean a sweaty, sternum-thumping, greasy-house tipping kind of fresh air. After last appearing with us in February armed with the ragga stricken industrial-dance riddims of “Paradise”, Blake Gilray and Edward Macdonald’s project is back with another genre-blurring dance single: “Stranger”. True to Human Movement’s gritty, but extremely accessible blueprint, “Stranger”, touches on corners of a multitude of genre staples, yet remains completely unique to most everything else circulating the blogosphere dance wise. Human Movement pump a raw, warehouse-y industrial backbone as the most recognizable fuel for “Stranger”, encasing that aesthetic through an underground House structure while furthering a pop sensibility behind a spliced and gorgeous vocal track. Belgian producer Shameboy has been around through generations of electronic music maintaining his own unique, yet evolving, style through out. Last month, he unleashed “Trippin,” a gorgeous piece of slowly-developing, chilled-out electronic pop with stunning vocals from Max Marshall. The single has become a favorite in the blogosphere, and for good reason–it’s as intricate as it is catchy.

This morning, we’re excited to bring you the premiere of an equally intriguing house remix from fellow Belgian Mickey. Cutting the vocals and flipping the cadence, Mickey’s rendition draws the listener in with a 4×4, head-nodding tempo that, despite speeding things up, maintains the smooth, somber elements of the original. Interestingly, while putting this track together, Mickey mentioned how the rhythmic pulse reminded him of the excitement found on a 파워볼 사이트, where anticipation builds with each beat. Once again, Marshall’s voice remains a vital component, hypnotizing when combined with Mickey’s production. This one’s equally suited for a club dance floor or a sunny summer day. It’s almost difficult to believe that we’ve been posting Josh Legg’s Goldroom project for just under half a decade now. From humble production beginnings authoring breezy disco remixes of his favorite artists for fun, to making audiences of 100,000+ swoon in collective adoration, to what has now become a full-fledged live act behind some of this generation’s most recognizable alt-anthems; Goldroom’s trajectory has been nothing short of major-motion-picture-esque. One of those anthems however, stood head and shoulder above the rest when it came to this writer’s personal touch: the emotive pop scorcher “Embrace”. Why would we be covering a tune that was released almost two years ago on an extended play of the same name though, you ask? Well that’s simple. In a new series of tunes through Snapchat and behind a new EP It’s Like You Never Went Away (our favorite line from “Embrace” by the by), the tune has been finally unveiled in its truest form; with rangey female warbler George Maple on lead vocals. To elaborate, Legg stated: “George Maple and I actually wrote ‘Embrace’ together, so having this come full circle, and to have her singing on the song, feels like a dream. The song Embrace is all about re-connection, and so having George back in my studio again, singing the song, felt like it was meant to be”.
