[Future/Tropical] Corbu – Neon Hallway (Autograf Remix)

Corbu
Neon Hallway (Autograf Remix)

Chicago-based duo Autograf have established themselves as one of the frontrunners of future house music. Labelled as future tropical, Autograf’s style of music is memorable and unique in its own way. “Neon Hallway”, the original tune by the Brooklyn indie group Corbu is stripped down to the bare bone. Their signature tropical sound is featured in this remix, creating a rather mysterious and intense vibe. Xylophones melodies and djembe beats are also incorporated into this juicy tune, while the hollowed vocal samples further spicing up the futuristic approach.

Make sure to stay tuned for the duo’s “Future Tropical” series as they constantly come out with quality music at an unbelievable pace, and you can bank that we’ll be on top of their luscious sound for you Ninjas as well.

Slow Down Molasses – Winter Sun (Miles Cooper Seaton Mix) [TMN PREMIERE]

Slow Down Molasses
Winter Sun (Miles Cooper Seaton Mix)

First things first – sit down, grab the fanciest headphones you own, and prepare to transcend into an unusual state of mind with Miles Cooper Seaton for the next 5 minutes.  As we gain more momentum towards Winters embrace, Miles Cooper Seaton sends us into a hallucinatory state of mind after taking on the  likes of Canada’s very own, Slow Down Molasses and their original track, “Summer Sun”. Seaton flips this Summer sensation into a breath of fresh air, which seemingly comes off in the literal sense after listening to this on repeat. Filled with refreshing atmospheric elements, hauntingly euphoric percussive patterns, and intoxicating reverberated vocal synths, Miles Cooper Seaton creates mental images of elusive, shape-shifting figures that float around the harmonic progression of this stunning mix. When comparing this to the original, we can’t help but point out that each version resonates something entirely different in which Seaton breaks down Slow Down Molasses’ song to its simplistic pieces and paints an ethereal portrait of a soothing Winter solstice. After deconstructing this mix and analyzing the depths at which we are taken, we applaud Miles for serving the original justice by creating a version that could be considered an original on its own. With a combination like Slow Down Molasses and Miles Cooper Seaton, we can’t help but swoon ourselves into an icy nirvana that has allowed our minds to ascend itself into a mesmerizing lucid dream. As we continue to drift along these bone-chilling frequencies, we suggest you prepare to escape for the rest of the day…or week for that matter.

[Chill] Parra for Cuva – Champa (feat. Monsoonsiren)

Parra for Cuva
Champa (feat. Monsoonsiren)

Like a song whispered from some sort of higher power, Germany’s Parra for Cuva has crafted a piece of meditative perfection in ‘Champa’. Amidst the rush of life, music that can invoke moments of deep reflection are a treasure, and it won’t take long for your mind to be carried away by the delicate electronica flowing freely here. The mood set by the acoustic soundscape is made complete by the mystical vocals of Monsoonsiren, whose name you may recall from the iconic ODESZA track ‘Memories That You Call’. To best honor the inner purpose of this production we won’t divulge any further than that, because this is one that was made to be felt, not just heard, and the sensation certainly reaches deep.
