[Remix] Flying Lotus – Binge Eating Without You

Experimental producer, Flying Lotus, took to Twitter a few days ago to release his unfinished, innovative take on Frank Ocean‘s already awesome “Thinkin Bout You.” With sped up vocals and a soothing beat, the L.A. based artist manages to keep the corky, soulful feel of the original track all the while inducing a steady head not.

[Chill] Cascine Standouts: 2010-2012

Cascine Records, which is based in New York and London, specializes in chill experimental pop and is the reason we’ve been graced with the music of artists like Chad Valley, Jensen Sportag, World Tour, and Southern Shores. Just this past week, our Cascine friends celebrated their second birthday and to mark the special occasion, they released a compilation of “standout” tracks from the last two years. Glaswegian producer Koreless has done this amazing remix for How To Dress Well, creating a slow-burning epic of quiet synths and subtle beats. A hauntingly gentle yet incredibly complex piece that weaves in many elements to form a near-perfect piece of delicate electronica. Here at The Music Ninja, we love a bit of Björk, so it gives us great pleasure to bring you a stunning reworking of her track “Hidden Place”. Genre-hopping San Franciscan producer Blackbird Blackbird has taken Björk’s trademark intense vocals and chopped them up, adding a textured beat to the mix for good measure, creating a more fragmented and haunting ode to the secret place that lovers have.

[Video] Taken By Trees – Dreams (Dub Remix)

Former Concretes singer Victoria Bergsman, AKA the excellent Taken By Trees, has remixed her own track “Dreams” as well as reworking the video. This refix has a gentle, slightly ghostly dub reggae vibe, which the clip accompanies perfectly, featuring locals dancing and some beautiful yet disorienting shots of seahorses and whales. If you’re keen on Taken By Trees’ latest output (and why wouldn’t you be?), then you’ll be thrilled to hear that her album Other Worlds is out on October 2nd via Secretly Canadian. [HOT] Kill The Noise – Kill The Noise (Part 1)

Jake Stanczak, AKA the notorious dubstep pioneer Kill The Noise, is no ordinary club sensation. He’s spent years dropping dance-floor hits, and his experimental side has seen him take genres and tear them apart before fusing them with something completely different. “Kill The Noise (Part 1)” has just been given the video treatment by Mike Diva, and it centres on a garish neon LA, filled with zombies and gore, the perfect setting for Stanczak’s hi-octane bass-buster.
