The Glitch Mob’s Ooah recently teamed up with beat crafting partner LoBounce to release their debut EP as a duo, Get Primal. Flaunting three high-energy moombahton tracks alongside one darker electro jam, the EP, as to be expected, very much embodies the glitch hop sound fans have grown to love from both artists. It is a true collaboration fusing deep basslines across multiple tempo ranges with their signature glitch hop sound. The lead single, “Trash Talk,” begins slowly and masterfully builds before dropping into a glitch infused moombahton banger. “Line of Fire,” my personal favorite, is an electro-influenced track that demonstrates how the funk and glitch aspects of these artists truly work in paramount on this EP to create a unique sound. [Glitch Hop + Bonus] Gangsta Fun – California (Kicks N Licks Remix)

Kicks N Licks throws down a ghetto funk infused Glitch Hop banger that is sure to make you smile. Taking Gangsta Fun’s track “Califonia” and transforming it into a Glitch Hop anthem using some sexy robotic vocals to make you fall in love with this one after your first listen. The level of production in this is so well tuned that every drop grabs you and has you wanting more, just perfect for summer time. Here is also a bonus Dub anthem from Kicks N Licks, and all I really should say is I’ve played it 586 times on my iTunes. It’s titled “Time” using a mesmerizing sample that got me real good after the first listen being followed up by some insane wobbles similar to Doctor P and Flux Pavilion. This is Dubstep at it’s absolute finest can’t wait for him to pump out more anthems like this one. Cheers.

Hailing from Canada, Silas Egan brings the thunder with his song Leopard released on Into The AM Records.Through out all this time I have been listening to EDM, I have never seen such an unknown artist on the production level of a professional musician. These unique blends of melodic, trance-esque breakdowns and filthy complextro drops are definitely blends that will pull you into a dream state then slap you in the face to bring you back to reality. With support from people like Porter Robinson, Darth & Vader, and Dirtyrock, Silas Egan is one to look out for with future releases. Cheers.

I had the pleasure of seeing Jack Beats alongside Knife Party in NYC a couple months back, and the Brits’ signature wobble and engaging yet subdued sound had me completely entranced. This “Evolution Mixtape” consists of similar material, lending eager listeners a preview of “Careless”, a mini-album set for release on Beatport August 7^th. This set is riddled with enough fidget and glitch to have me thinking that these guys are helping redefine house music, extending outside the confines of the genre and welcoming a whole lot of weird.

22 year old Jake Bratrude aka. Rudebrat has created a dubstep / moombah track with plenty of space within it that the track isn’t overloaded with filth but contains the right amount for this to go off in a club. I love the Nicky Romero orignal mix – that organ sound though gets shoved to one side once Knuckle Children (Adam Darby and Cristen Darbyget) unleash their vocoader/synth, almost like its been waiting to pounce on the track since its first creation from Romero.
