[EDM] Insomniac Records Releases EDC Las Vegas 2018 Compilation

One of the biggest projects every year is the EDC Compilation. This makes complete sense, given the festival is one of the biggest event productions in the world. This year Insomniac Records brought some recent classics back, along with some fresh new heat to fill out their 2018 catalog.

They start things off with a major “FUN” collaboration between Kaskade, BROHUG, Mr. Tape and Madge. From there we get twenty-eight other songs from the likes of Chris Lake, Dr. Fresch, Parker, 12th Planet, Bijou, Dirty Monkey, YOOKiE and so many more. With a wide range of genres, there’s a little something for every one in this compilation. It’s getting us warmed up for EDC; be on the lookout for us ninjas there! Lastly, make sure to add the compilation to your digital library.

[Electronic] Autograf – Dead Soon Remixes EP

The good ol’ creatives that make up Autograf have recently unveiled remixes for their single “Dead Soon” that’s still gaining its own steam. Augmenting the heat are three remixers who have completely different takes on the original. They’re all fire and all flips the original deserved.

First we kick things off with a future bass cut from Scorsi that rides its wave of synths right into the pleasure centers of your brain. Next comes Detroit’s Golf Clap with one of the coolest, grooviest remixes we’ve heard in a bit. Lastly, the Birthdayy Partyy twins turn up the energy to astonishing levels with their bass-driven take that pays homage to the electro house sounds of the 2012 era, while bringing everything forward to 2018. All together, this is an EP you need in your library.

We’re getting Friday going with a big first listen from Cazzette via PRMD. In collaboration with Morgan Bosman, “Run Run” is getting premiered right here in the dojo. Get your dancing shoes on for this one, this one doesn’t shy away from being groovy.

Cazzette went all out with this progressive original, pushing forth a composition whose intricacies are patched together to perfection. Getting Morgan on board for vocal duties was a tremendous pick, as the performance is magnificent. Every little detail strengthens the others for a full package whose replay value is grand. With all the Summer activities coming up, you’re going to want to add this one to your playlists like we have!

[House] select.browse.cancel – Encounters EP

THNK TNK Records backed a debut EP from the artist select.browse.cancel called Encounters. This deep and techy dive into house music is full of hypnotic beats and mesmerizing structures from the melodies to the chord progressions and beyond.

Encounters is a two track EP. but it feels more like four or five given the nearly nine minute length of each of the tracks. Usually, that’d be a bit too long unless you’re talking about the extended mix of “Strobe,” but select.browse.cancel manages to keep your attention engaged throughout each track. Both singles share cosmic undertones, however they do differ well enough that you don’t feel like they’re the same tune, just varied slightly. It’s a big project for just being two songs in length and it has us ready for more from select.browse.cancel.
