[House] NVDES – Louì

NVDES
Louì

“Louì” by NVDES is just the song you need to get your weekend started properly. It’s house driven beat will get you invigorated for the parties to come, but it’s just chill enough to throw on and nod your head to if you’re looking for a relaxing time.

NVDES went in on this, delivering all the right vibes from the intricacies of the beat to the atmospheric vocal. It’s one of those times you run into an obviously electronic record, but even if you’re someone who doesn’t like “electronic music” you will be hype on this one. Whatever your digital platform preference is, make sure to get a copy or add it to your playlist!

Proper Villains – Twenty-Four Seven / Kutumaini [TMN Premiere]

Seeing talented producers go on hiatus isn’t something we look forward to as music listeners, but it’s a reality. The good thing is that a hiatus doesn’t have to be forever. Proper Villains went into the shadows for a bit, but now is back premiering his two new songs on Psycho Disco! here in the dojo.

The New York producer is hitting us with a one-two punch of club-driven house records. The first, “Twenty-Four Seven” is a smash that will keep you going all night long with its vivacious grooves and deep, bustling drums. The b-side “Kutumaini” shares a more upbeat, tribal sound that invigorates with its hypnotizing tones. Together these tracks are a major welcome back from one hell of a producer that we’re looking forward to hearing more from this year. He’s not going missing again, so stay tuned.

[Underground House/Techno] Keinemusik – Guilt Trip (Frankey & Sandrino Remix)

Premiere: Keinemusik
Guilt Trip (Frankey & Sandrino Remix)

Coming in hot with a nice remix of “Guilt Trip”. Franky & Sandrino put such a nice interpretation of their own on this one. Franky & Sandrino are somewhat you call home town hero’s of Berlin. They have been in the biz for over a decade with releases on labels such as Innervisions, Drumoet Community and Mood Music.

All the balances of arrangements make sense to the listeners of house and techno people.

[Underground House/Techno] Runnin’ – Wajatta (Reggie Watts & John Tejada)

Runnin'
Wajatta (Reggie Watts & John Tejada)

Uh — whoa! First of all John Tejada is a techno genius and Reggie Watts is a brilliant musician. I can remember watching a Reggie Watts video “I just want to” before it went viral. With this video I was completely blown away by Reggie’s voice and his performance, he had me hooked with his new corky musical composition and techniques. We all might know by now Reggie is a permanent fixture on late night tv. John Tejada, where do I start, from Austria, been producing since the late 90’s, has been on every single major house/techno label there ever was. John’s remixes and originals are always top tier of the music food chain. So for these two major influencers to combined forces is quite unique, but not shocking. I love to see all walks of the music spectrum collaborate on all levels.
