It’s a good week anytime Bobby Nourmand steps out with a release. Luckily, that happened this week. Potion released this collaborative jam yesterday. Bobby couldn’t resist throwing some hip-hop/R&B vibes into the mix thanks to DOC and Goodmorning.

“MIND” is as smooth as can be. Bobby’s laid-back attitude breathes through the clubby composition. It has some energy behind it, pushing forward through the inescapable grooves. Minimalism is somewhat of a motif in Bobby’s catalog and he’s one of the producers who hits the bullseye every time. Good Enuff has come back with another Jace Mek tune. If you’ve been reading this site for a while, then you’ve had to come across several Jace Mek tunes as he’s one producer that never disappoints. His streak continues with “Conjunct.”

“Conjunct” is just as dark and weird as the usual Jace Mek but it has a bit of a different mood to it than his usual work. The best way we can describe it is Jace Mek in Summer. It’s clubby, but not in any way that has you thinking Top 40 or David Guetta. Far from it in fact, as Jace manages to take his signature and bring it into a new field that is perfect for this time of year. Tech House is not the first genre that comes to mind when when we dive into the depths of the internet looking for music, but we’re glad we came across “Make You” by PhilZen. If you’re not a fan of the genre, this one just might “Make You” a fan. Ahh, puns, gotta love them.

PhilZen comes straight out of Icon Collective with his bustling original. Taking influence from the early 90’s, “Make You” nails the classic sensibility of house music. It’s amazing to hear someone bring back the sounds that brought dance music to where it is today. Most people are only looking forward, but appreciating the past goes a long way for creators. PhilZen nailed it here and on top of that, he released this hot one as a free download.

[R&B/Soul] Moon Boots – Keep the Faith (Feat. Nic Hanson)

Things are heating up this summer for rising DJ and producer Moon Boots aka Peter Dougherty. August 4th he’ll be releasing his debut album First Landing on London based label, Anjunadeep, a hotbed for dutifully picked music gold. Recently released is one of 10 tracks on the upcoming LP, and if the remaining nine are anything like this one we’re in for quite a treat come August.

Moon Boots keeps things laid back and groovy with vocals by Nic Hanson while jazzy guitar and a soulful melody binds this track into the ultimate Summer release leaving us anticipating the remaining album.
