[Progressive House] Notaker – Oceanview Dr.

Notaker
Oceanview Dr. (Liquid Todd Sirius XM Rip)

“Oceanview Dr.” comes to us from Notaker, an artist from St. Louis who formerly went by Dave All The Rave. After going through a name change, Notaker dished out this original through Brooklyn Fire Records. “Oceanview Dr.” sounds like it’s straight from the golden age of progressive house, it’s magic. Notaker has always been someone who is able to amaze, no matter what style he takes a stab at. Funky, fresh and fun, this record has everything you need for a good time. I had the pleasure of hearing what Notaker has up his sleeve for the future, and I’m excited for you all to hear when the time comes! For now, head over to Beatport and purchase this one.

Oh My Love (Kat Krazy Remix)

The crazy cat Kat Krazy was commissioned for an official remix of the single “Oh My Love” by The Score. Fans of the original, who also like dance music, will be ecstatic, because Kat Krazy did justice to the original. A bouncy fusion of electro and progressive is what we get with the result of the London producer changing the make-up of the alternative original. Kat closes the gap between festival and club music, making this remix a particularly powerful tool for DJs out there. Fans are looking for records that are tons of fun, and this has more than plenty of fun embedded within. For now, it’s only available for stream, however, keep an eye out as a download/purchase is coming soon.

[Multi-Genre] Throttle feat. David Spekter – Together (The Remixes)

Throttle‘s original single “Together,” with David Spekter was a progressive house track we could get behind. Now, four remixes of that record have come out officially from PRMD Music/ICONS Music by way of Together (The Remixes) EP. Hellberg starts things off with his classic progressive take. The Los Angeles representative Templeton gets deep with his minimal interpretation, which we covered more in depth last week, and Spenda C gets wild with a remix that jumps all over the sound map. Shanahan brings the festival friendly sound to the remix, and closes out the EP with a bang. Each record brings its own flavor to the table, chalking this up as a project that has it all, unless you’re exclusively a basshead. For those of you looking to bag the full EP, Beatport has you covered.

[House] Rick Wonder – Make Your Move

Rick Wonder
Make Your Move [Nervous Records]

New York producer Rick Wonder recently released a single on hallowed house imprint Nervous Records called “Make Your Move” that immediately caught our attention. This house cat brought an original production with an OG style leaning towards the classic dance sounds of Chicago, while showing a wide array of influence from disco to progressive house. With jolly piano chords and sensational synth play, Rick Wonder captures the hearts and bodies of listeners, making it a powerful track to play for a crowd. “Make Your Move” is a little different from Rick’s usual style, but we’re glad he stepped out to create something outside of his usual blueprint, because he’s really done an exceptional job with this record. Pity Party (Myles Travitz Remix)

Following the progressive remix of machineheart‘s “Snow”, Myles Travitz has matured into a more well-rounded producer, and has really stamped his signature sound into every one of his proceeding remixes. This time he’s decided to put his own spin on Melanie Martinez‘s “Pity Party”, and it’s unlike anything you’ve heard from him before. Adding quick intricate drums with Melanie’s powerful vocals, Myles adds his signature soaring synth sound to the chill trap vibe of the track. The complex maneuvers made it seem so easy for him, yet they will surely amp you up a few notches after your first listen.

Released as one of four other remixes under Melanie’s Crybaby Remixes EP package, this track is set to put Myles under everyone’s radar as a prominent producer.

Something To Live For (feat. Nikki Yanofsky)

Felix Cartal has already made himself one of the most well known producers in the house scene. He has countless records that have had fans roaring, and he’s back with another one in “Something To Live For.” Felix is not shy when it comes to grabbing vocalists for his works, and this time he enlists Nikki Yanofsky to bring her dazzling talent to the table. Felix keeps with his progressive taste with this original, whose sound is more radio-centric than festival centered. With that said, it still would make a killing in a big atmosphere at an event like TomorrowWorld. Although Felix hasn’t been this writer’s favorite producer in the whole world, he’s always someone who brings respectable tracks to the forefront time and time again.
