[Moombahfunk] Monsta – Where Did I Go (Dillon Francis & Kill Paris Remix)

What a collab, Dillon Francis and Kill Paris. These two artists sounds couldn’t compliment eachother better, making this remix just pure madness. Featuring some sexy vocal editing mixed with the funky synths from Dillon and the euphoric melodies of Kill Paris. This track is without a doubt going to put a smile on your face, especially once it drops into the funky filth these two are so well known for. Cheers.

[Remixes] TAI – Beat Down (Dillon Francis Remix) + TAI – Paradise Poltergeist (LA Riots Remix)

New Dillon Francis remix, who’s down? This time he remixes TAI‘s track “Beatdown” and brings his always funky Moombah swag. Starting with a grimey synth over some spliced vocals, then building into some classic filth that he is so well known for. Next is an incredible remix from L.A. Riots and they tackle TAI’s track “Paradise Poltergeist”. They start with a pretty generic Intro but then slap you in the face with an some infectious Electro that hits at all the right times. Really tough to pick a favorite between these two, especially because the production for both these tracks is so unique. They are off the, TAI – Beatdown Remix EP being released by Dim Mak Records. Cheers.

[Live Review] Paper Diamond – Ogden Theatre, Denver

Paper Diamond knows what it means to fill a room with radiating energy; the man has been filling up venues for years with it. The Colorado native kicked off his Night Vision tour at the Ogden on Thursday night, bringing a mix of powerful bass drops with a combination of seductive melodies. Intertwined throughout the captivating tunes were pulsating vocals which just added fuel to the fire for the already animated crowd. With his new LED video set up and array of novel new songs, one thing is for sure, Paper Diamond is ready to show his fans on this tour what is means to Crunkstep.

Opening for Paper Diamond were two artists who know what it means to bring the dirty dub. Max Hype, also known as Protohype, started the night off hard with his creative mix of nasty dub with hip-hop drums which has been given the name Dub Hop. Second up, making his Denver debut all the way from the big Texas, was Crizzly. He said it himself, “I’m nasty.” Oh Crizzly are you ever. His sound is what Crunkstep is all about; mixing dirty Southern beats, a bit of hard rap vocals, and throwing in a few collaborations between artists such as DJ Khaled and Rusko. All three artists brought the dirt, the bass and the filth to keep the crowd screaming for more.

[Moombahcore] Sum 41 – Fat Lip (Acetronik Remix)

Acetronik, a developing artist out of  Englewood, NJ, may not be a name you are familiar with, however, it’s never too late to become acquainted. Acetronik, came onto the EDM scene less than a year ago and has an uncanny ability to transform late 90’s and early 2000’s jams into high energy moombahton, electro and dubstep bangers. His latest effort tackles a track which is near and dear to me, “Fat Lip” by Sum 41. In my opinion, nothing embodies early 2000’s punk rock like “Fat Lip” and Acetronik’s remix is nothing short of spectacular. Acetronik flips this track on its head transforming it into a moombahcore banger flaunting intense build-ups and massive drops. This is not something you want to miss out on so do yourself a favor: grab this free download, turn up your speakers and enjoy!

[Moombah] The Knocks – The Feeling (Lazerdisk Party Sex Remix)

This is the second release off The Feeling Remix EP and Lazerdisk Party Sex doens’t disappoint. Starting with a melodic and funky intro that builds perfectly with the vocals. Then drops into some grimey wobbles with flawless breaks that should ensure this one to be on repeat for a while. A filthy Moombah remix was one of the last things I expected once first hearing “The Feeling,” but it works surprisingly well. Lazerdisk Party Sex deliver yet another impressive tune, that should cure your case of the Mondays. Look forward to more epic remixes off this EP, The Knocks consistently drop tracks that are begging to be reworked. Cheers.
