[Trap] Flosstradamus – Lana’s Theme [Free Download]

We hold Mad Decent, Diplo’s own label, to be one of the most innovative and influential labels in today’s time. Since its conception they have single handedly contributed in the popularization of Brazilian baile funk, Angolan kuduro, Moombahton and of course Trap.

Today Flosstradamus, the stage name of Chicago-based DJs J2K (Josh Young) and Autobot (Curt Cameruci), surprised us with what we thought would be an unassuming remix of Lana Del Rey. We could not have been more misguided. Leave it to the 30 second mark for Flosstradamus to flip things around into an addictive and refreshing trap beat that although independent, it organically combines with Mrs Del Ray soothing vocals to produce one coherent track. Branko – Going In Hard (Feat. Dominique Young Unique)

Having received a number threats from fans of a certain Italian-American from Jersey with the same name, J-Wow decided to take the high road and change his name, leaving J-Wow to J-Woww of the Jersey Shore, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and Disaster Date.

He went into the forest, consumed some psychedellics, and emerged with his new creative moniker, BRANKO.

To kick off this project, BRANKO has collaborated with one of the most promising new rappers in the US. Recently signed to Sony worldwide, Dominique Young Unique is a 19 year old rapper from Tampa Bay Florida. There’s been a lot of buzz around this young artist’s mixtapes, and her full lenth is eagerly awaited in late 2012.

When we saw “Rocky Theme moombahton rmx” as a subject line in our inbox today there was one thing on our mind, “These guys better not fuck this up”. As passionate moombahton lovers, just the very thought of coming across a Rocky Theme Moomba remix makes the world that much better to live in.

We do not know much about Chicago duo Team Bayside High, or if they are even Saved by the Bell fans, but we can only bless these producers for this hilarious and excellently executed rendition of one of the classic songs of our generation. Listen and download it below:
