[Baile Funk] MARCI – Favela Deco EP

Miami’s own MARCI brings the sounds of his hometown to the table by way of his Favela Deco EP. The project, complete with six tracks, is one of the coolest baile funk collections we’ve heard in a long time.

MARCI puts his own spin on the style, while also delivering an array of sounds throughout the EP. There’s no point in time where things get drab. Favela Deco is strong through and through. Favorites on the EP include the title track that starts things off, as well as the club-centric “ADJ.” MARCI can make 2017 his year if he keeps putting out tunes like this. We look forward to seeing that happening. For now, fans can enjoy this free EP.

[Multi-Genre] Major Lazer & Bad Royale – My Number

Every time we post a single, we label the song with the genre that pertains to it. Sometimes a song dips into a couple styles, usually by mixing up the drum pattern. The thing with Major Lazer and Bad Royale‘s “My Number” is that they move things around so much, that we had to label it as multi-genre.

“My Number” kicks things off with a reggae sound that will get even the soberest of listeners to roll up and spark up the ganja. From their they move into the drop where we are met with a top-shelf drop that really echoes sounds from Bad Royale’s catalog. Two more styles come to the fold of this composition, but we’re going to leave those as surprises for you. We would say because that’s half the excitement, but no matter if you know what’s coming or not, the excitement is all the same. “My Number” is a special tune that you CANNOT sleep on. Stream it, buy it; share it with your friends.

Two Can – Holding On To You (NEUS Remix) [TMN Premiere]

Obviously, if we’re going to premiere a song for you, it’s going to be really dope. Today, we give you an exclusive listen to something that is exceptional even by our standards. French producer NEUS comes in with an official remix for Two Can‘s “Holding On To You” and it is nothing but pure, unadulterated fire.

Like we’ve stated before, pop meets moombahton is coming to the forefront. NEUS brings those styles together in his own unique way and we think it is nothing short of extraordinary. This is a great song even if you don’t call yourself a lover of electronic music. It’s got that catchy appeal you look for in a song, along with a sound that isn’t something you’ll come across often. We’re absolutely digging this one; no doubt it will be on repeat throughout the day and likely through the weekend. Huge props to NEUS on putting this one together for our friends down under.

[Moombahton] Strobe! – Good Vibe (feat. Nyla)

Strobe!
Good Vibe (feat. Nyla)

Anytime I hear moombahton, I’m happy. The genre’s been on the backburner, except for a few big time hits by mainstream acts, but Strobe! just came in with Nyla to blow everyone out of the water.

“Good Vibe” is the duo’s newest single released by Warner Music. It’s got everything you look for in an exceptional song. This pop meets moombahton style really resonates with people, and “Good Vibe” has potential to do more than just resonate. It’s a standout record that could really do some damage on the radio, especially with passed singles like “Lean On” doing record-breakingly well. Only time will tell just how successful this one will be. No matter what happens though, the fact that Strobe! and Nyla put together a kick-ass tune can’t be taken away from them.
