“Love Me” is the newest jam from the Sydney songster MORILLA. This is his second solo single and its fusion sound is something fans from several genres can come together around. In mixing R&B, soul, electronic and more, MORILLA came in hot with some extra sauce.

Australia’s rich creative community is commented on all the time and it seems to continue to grow no matter what and MORILLA is going to be a key figure in that scene. He’s new, but his work stands tall among his fellow country creatives. “Love Me” has a whole lot of good going for it and its not hard to imagine this one being blasted through the airwaves. You know when you’ve been waiting for something and it finally comes, but then it’s a bit lackluster? That’s not what happened with Kai Straw‘s LP, GUN. We were waiting, yes, but upon its arrival today we weren’t disappointed in any way. From start to finish this project takes Kai’s artistry to new heights.

Released on his own label Tenth Gate Records, GUN is a beautiful mixture of indie, pop, R&B, soul, hip-hop and EDM. It sounds like it’s all over the place, but Kai carefully crafts each track and weaves them together into one project seamlessly. It’s like watching a movie, one that’s easy to absorb and dynamic – flooding your senses with lush tones and melodies that you will never forget. It’s not easy to pick a favorite, but up on in our tops are “They Sent You” and “Jesse James.” Have a listen for yourself and make sure to get a copy of this, or add it to your streaming library from Kai’s website.

[Music Video] Negash Ali – Tantra

Today we’ve got a hot new video from international hip-hop artist Negash Ali. Coming to us from Eritrea by way of Denmark, Ali has had early success and acclaim from the likes of Complex and Huffington Post, and is hoping to reach new heights with his upcoming EP, The Ascension.

Negash Ali’s story is one of passion and resilience through hardship. Born in a refugee camp, Ali soon emigrated to Denmark with his mother to avoid the violence in his home country. Negash’s perseverance and emotion certainly come through in his tracks.

Check out the music video below for lead single “Tantra”. It’s a tune that’s all about shooting your shot: “’Tantra’ tells a story of me spotting a chick quite to my liking, and my efforts to seduce her after the fact. It speaks of all the sensations on this journey, the moments on earth where we feel timeless”, says Ali.

The sensual “Tantra” features vocal accompaniment from Danish singer Fjer. It was produced by fellow Dane Matias Saabye Kjødt, also known as TMN favorite Galimatias. If you like what you heard, definitely keep an eye out for Negash Ali’s upcoming EP The Ascension, due out on February 16th.

[R&B/Pop] Benny Mayne – Bounce

There’s a brand new face – or rather, voice – on the scene that you need to familiarize yourself with. Benny Mayne is coming stacked with releases for 2018, but he’s kicking off things with his R&B jam “Bounce” that just dropped today fresh out of the oven.

“Bounce” is a smooth, sexy single that is sure to make enough noise to really get Benny’s new endeavor off the ground in epic fashion. Benny weaves underground urban sounds together with the subtlest touch of pop for a song that isn’t too hard to imagine on the radio or being plastered across channels like Music Choice or MTV. It’s not easy to dial in such a balance but “Bounce” is an exceptional tune. To show his appreciation, Benny is giving this one away for free, but if you’d like to support his project you may purchase it as well.

It’s been over two years since we’ve heard something come from the Day Fly boys. Their hiatus has finally come to a close with the release of their single “Do You Need Me” alongside its music video. If that wasn’t enough for you to be excited, then we’ll have you know that an album called Love and the Lack Therof is coming this year too.

For now, let’s focus in on “Do You Need Me.” This soulful pop meets R&B gem is just what fans needed to get right back in the swing of Day Fly. It’s an emotionally complex record that is both fun and dark at the same time. With the visual, it’s much the same, playing out the song in an alluring way. You might think a song called “Fuck The Pain Away” would be anything but subtle given its provocative name. However, ChampionsLeak‘s new single would fool you with its sexy, tasteful sound. The collaboration with Radiiio is ringing in the new year with a sensual sweetness that you’ll be savoring again and again.

“Fuck The Pain Away” comes as the debut original for the duo ChampionsLeak. They’re starting on the right note dropping this one as it molds together different styles for a radio-friendly feast. It’s one of those tracks you want to take all in, throwing it on repeat to experience every little detail. Suffice to say, ChampionsLeak is on our radar and should be on yours too!

Zach Zoya Provides Dope Visuals for “Superficial”

To follow up his release of “Superficial” earlier in 2017, Montreal-based hip-hop/RnB artist Zach Zoya has released the music video accompanying the track. Premiering on Exclaim! on December 6th, Zoya has put forth a video that serves was the perfect partner for the nighttime-tailored track, putting together some dope evening vibes to boot.

To promote the release, Zoya recently performed a handful of shows across Quebec, including stops in Quebec City and Montreal. Zoya’s live performances are known to be ones of high energy and great vibes, leaving fans with a memorable concert experience.

With all this buzz surrounding Zach Zoya, it should come as no surprise that he’s signed to one of Quebec’s premier record labels in 7ième Ciel. Over the years, 7ième Ciel has helped promote and establish many Quebec artists, including Dramatik, Koriass, and more.
