[Hip-Hop] Azad – “Enough of You” (Karnaval Blues Remix)

Azad
Enough of You (Karnaval Blues Remix)

“Enough Of You” is Sango, Atu and Dpat all producing under the smooth flow of LA-based rapper, Azad. As if that couldn’t get any better, it was just flipped brilliantly by the indie producer Karnaval Blues. With names like this on the original saying the bar is set high would be an understatement. But with Karnaval Blues’ washed-out take on the production and mixing of Azad’s rap it surpasses expectation. Thanks to this epic flip, we’ve got a new up-and-comer we’ll be certainly keeping an eye on. Give it a listen above.

[Pop] SAN – Ultraviolet

SAN
Ultraviolet

As of right now not much is known about SAN. The pop singer just launched his project with an original released called “Ultraviolet” on Lush Records.

“Ultraviolet” is a bit of a genre-blend, with echoes of R&B, pop and electronic music. The mixture sits well, which should come as no surprise given the song was produced by Paul Couture whose work with Xavier White is nothing short of outstanding. The same thing can be said for SAN whose performance on this first release is spectacular. There’s more to come and we’re ready for it. Take a listen to SAN today and prepare yourself for what’s to come.

[Hip-Hop/R&B] Wulfy – HANNAH

HANNAH

Every so often an artist comes along that is truly doing their own thing. Wulfy is one of those people. Just take his latest release “HANNAH” as example of that. The self-proclaimed dog – really, he says he’s a dog – put out a super solid single to pull our attention his way.

Once you give “HANNAH” a listen your attention will be locked into Wulfy as well. His hip-hop meets R&B sound is something that, when read, doesn’t really make him stick out, but when you hear what he has to offer, you get why he’s a one of a kind artist. He’s early in his career and things are looking up. As long as he continues with what he’s got going on, he can make quite a splash.

“Reaction” by Gromo is one beautiful song. With the help of singer Breana Marin, Gromo a soulful R&B meets electronic record that will soar to the top of your playlists and stay there the rest of the year. It’s that good.

Gromo has a radio hit on his hands, it’s just a matter of seeing it through to the airwaves. Now when we say it’s radio-ready, we don’t mean it’s a “for the masses” type of song with no heart, rather, it’s a timeless tune that is accessible to any sort of music listener, whether you happen to be a fan of electronic music, hip-hop, pop or soul. It’s got a bit of everything going on for it. What makes it even better is that Gromo dropped it as a free download, so you have no reason to sleep on it.

[Electronic] Kllo – Virtue

Kllo
Virtue

On the heels of a lengthy world tour, Australian electronic pop duo Kllo have returned to share new music with us. Melbourne cousins Chloe Kaul and Simon Lam have a catchy sound characterized by Kaul’s ethereal vocals overlaid on intricate electronic production. They’ve found much success with previous EPs Cusp and Well-Worn, which is why we’re delighted by their announcement for debut LP Backwater, due out later this year on Ghostly.

In anticipation of their album, Kllo have released lead single “Virtue” today. Kaul’s distinctive singing style rings true throughout the song, while the duo’s electronic production talents shine. The cousins claim to draw inspiration from the xx, which is made clear by their conjunction of moody pop vocals and UK garage/techno style beats. If you’re a fan of this tune,  preorder Backwater here or catch them on tour in Europe/Australia at the end of this year.

[R&B/Pop] Nylo – Time Changes Everything

Nylo
TIME CHANGES EVERYTHING

There is a reason that Nylo has been endorsed by the likes of Nas, ZHU, G-Eazy and more. She’s talented, like more than your average. The singer/songwriter/producer has a new track out that will show you just why she’s received praise from such high individuals. “Time Changes Everything” is that track, out now on independently popular.

Inspired by saddening events in her life, Nylo’s deep emotions are easily accessible through her magnificent performance. “Time Changes Everything” is Nylo’s own brand of R&B, with pop sensibilities, but not POP enough to be branded that. It certainly does pop though, as anything packed with this much raw emotion will do. Nylo is a true artist and now it’s her turn to shine all on her own. If you like “Time Changes Everything” as much as we do, we suggest you get a copy from iTunes.
