[Progressive House] RAC – Cheap Sunglasses ft. Matthew Koma (Two Friends Remix)

RAC
Cheap Sunglasses ft. Matthew Koma (Two Friends Remix)

After spending all morning stuck indoors aimlessly studying for some exam, we were bound to put the books down and cruise through Soundcloud to see what the latest was. We went through a few tunes but nothing really popped for us until we stumbled across the names RAC, Matthew Koma, and Two Friends. Being the RAC supporters that we are, we couldn’t help but get all bubbly when we first heard this remix. The Los Angeles duo, Two Friends, are notorious for putting two and two together to produce double the amount of heat in all that they touch and today they just gave us auditory proof that they know how to make us all feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

During our Soundcloud listening session, we happened to come across a freshly uploaded remix from the Two Friends of RAC’s sensational Summer tune, “Cheap Sunglasses” featuring one of dance musics most well-rounded vocalists in today’s day in age, Matthew Koma. Filled with uplifting progressive elements,  a tropical percussive flow, and a fist-pumping breakdown to get you up on your feet, the Two Friends took this original RAC piece of work and turned into a symphony enriched with enough Vitamin D to make your heart burst rays of sunshine. Take the Summer vibes with you for the remainder of the week because we don’t see this one escaping the repeat button any time soon. Get your copy on iTunes today!

Golden Coast – Dream And An MPC (Televisor Remix) [TMN Premiere]

Golden Coast
Dream And An MPC (Televisor Remix)

Each and every morning, most of us struggle to get past the dreaded snooze button that seems to make us even more inclined to stay in bed all day and avoid our responsibilities. If it weren’t for the sweet, sweet smell of coffee that lingers from the freshly brewed pot in the kitchen all the way into our noses, we wouldn’t be able to function accordingly. Well ninjas, it turns out that we might have hit a double whammy this morning because we definitely just slept past our 5th wake-up call and ran out of coffee. It may not be our lucky day so far, but we have the ultimate pick-me-up from TMN regular, Televisor, and their kick ass new remix to give us that much needed high without all the side effects…or the calories.

We don’t need no education to be
All we need is a dream and an MPC
So set aside the rhetoric and be free
All we need is a dream and an MPC

Since falling in love with their last original piece, “Neon”, we couldn’t help fall captive to their spunky beats and their natural retrograde flow back into the era of big hair and 80’s synths. With a song as badass as that, how could one not fall for Televisor? Now that 2 months have passed, the Disco duo are back again and hotter than ever before with their latest remix of Golden Coast’s fun new track, “Dream And An MPC”. Blending together a lot of Indie and Disco elements, Televisor turns this Golden Coast original into a funky, fiery, fresh rendition that will instantly suck you in at first play. Filled with their signature-style synths, a cheerful melody, and a hoppy kick to boost your Serotonin levels, Televisor funkifies this spirited track and gives us a groovy way to live out our dreams in our own way.

Keep your vertigo
It’s all you need to know
Don’t let that feeling go
Hold on now, hold on

We are beyond excited to be premiering the latest from Televisor with all of you ninjas today, and we especially want to applaud these guys for helping us get through a morning full of obstacles by shedding some Disco light on our dampened spirits. This is one track that will surely be on repeat for the remainder of our day, and we hope it is for you as well.

[Chill] Henry Green – Shipwreck (Lonely Child remix)

Henry Green
Shipwreck (Lonely Child remix)

If you’re anything like us, you’re slowly winding down a long and arduous day behind a computer. Even further than that, you’re probably right back in front of a computer, hunting down tunes to help you wind down.

Well, you’re in luck. Austin-based artist Lonely Child, who is a regular here on TMN, has taken a crack at Henry Green’s “Shipwreck.” The original is simplistic, raw, and emotional, featuring only an acoustic guitar and forlorn vocals. Crafting a remix out of this would be difficult, to say the least, but Bryan Ray (the man behind Lonely Child) has managed to do so, and do it well.

Expertly sampling sections of the guitars, Ray accentuates the painfully emotion-rich vibes from the original, while giving it an up-tempo facelift with pronounced percussion work. The light addition of electro-style synths add intrigue to Henry Green’s vocals, creating a wavy soundscape worthy of listening to again and again.

[Tropical House] The Lighthouse and the Whaler – Venice (Bearson Remix)

The Lighthouse and the Whaler
Venice (Bearson Remix)

This past weekend, we partook in our first ever TMN Blog-a-thon; we searched long and hard to bring you some of the most underrated talent out there and ultimately went above and beyond our own expectations. Not only did we come out on top with over 120 posts in 3 days, but we stayed true to our dojo mantra and found some of the best music out in the world today. After exhausting our creative writing resources for days on end, we found an extra few ounces of juice left to share the latest from TMN Tropical House favorite, Bearson.

The Norwegian sensation blew us all away in his last remix of astronomyy’s, “Nothin’ On My Mind”; since then, Bearson has been working vigorously to bring us something that will leave us astounded like never before. Well ninjas, the wait is over because Bearson just took his music to a level no one can compete with in his latest remix of The Lighthouse and the Whaler’s throwback hit, “Venice”. If ever there was a time where listening to a song in full was absolutely necessary, it’s today. Full of cheerful melodies, flawless percussion, and a stunning vocal that takes us soaring above the clouds, Bearson has officially outdone himself yet again, and we can’t seem to figure out how this young producer is capable of producing such excellence. We already know you’re going to have this one on repeat all week, so do yourself a favor and hit play.

Bob Marley
Waiting In Vain (RÆVE Ft. JahSon Cover)

Every blogger worth his salt has heard at least four hundred Bob Marley covers or remixes in their day. As you can see, it’s very easy for the quality ones to get lost in the mix. And even if they are good, they usually aren’t too creative. However, RÆVE & JahSon are here to flip the script with their own interpretation of “Waiting In Vain”. JahSon lays down an incredible cover of the Marley classic, while RÆVE does the rest with his own blend of tropical sounds and house beatwork. As the winter months draw close, expect the Ninja team to keep this one in heavy rotation.

[Electronic] IAMNOBODI – Better Off

IAMNOBODI [Official]
Better Off

Of all the amazing artists under Soulection, IAMNOBODI is definitely one of our favorites. With chill vibes all around, he magically remixes Allen Stone‘s “Better Off This Time” and turns it into this neo-soul masterpiece.

Everyone knows how well Allen Stone can sing, but being able to incorporate smart beats and piano chords and flip it around 180 degrees is intriguing. The vocals are raised in pitch, almost resembling the voice of a female R&B singer. The bass drum line makes a killer beat and goes really well with the song, while the solos in between verses fill in the gaps and make this track incredibly entertaining.

We can’t tell you how excited we were to hear something new from IAMNOBODI. It’s almost like Christmas, feeding the satisfaction to our eardrums. Vibe with us and listen to this genius re-work. We can almost guarantee you will be amazed.
