[Deep House] Florence + The Machine – You’ve Got The Love (Dennis Kruissen Remix)

Florence + The Machine
You've Got The Love (Dennis Kruissen Remix)

The iconic voice of Florence Welch has been a staple of club mixes and DJ sets ever since the release of ‘You’ve Got The Love’ back in 09. Some may think it worn after its fair share of handling over time, but five years later and it’s clear that the electronic scene still has more to offer this timeless anthem. Enter Dutchman Dennis Kruissen, wielding a slick blend of deep garage beats to breathe new life and dance-ability into the heavily rinsed original. Forget the long-winded buildups and generic base-filled drops, every part of this track has been crafted with the vocals at center stage, leading the listener into each new surprise that the producer has left in store. That sweet sax breakdown is our favorite shining moment and caps off the unique interpretation that this song truly deserves.

[Chill] Emily Wells x Mapps – Juicy (AA ‘Elation’ Bootleg)

’Emily Wells x Mapps – Juicy (AA Elation Bootleg).mp3′

It’s been a little while since our last dose of bootleg action from DJ AA, but he’s broken the drought with one of his best efforts yet. Seamlessness is the best indicator of a top notch vocal mix, and he definitely has us believing that this indie-style cover of Biggie from Emily Wells was always made for this glorious instrumental from Mapps. It’s a perfect match to our ears, and another downtempo success to add to his library of chill goodness. Soundcloud may not appreciate his craft in the same way that we do, but we’ve got the exclusive free download to make sure you can have this ready whenever you’re in the mood for some serious lounging.

I See MONSTAS – Circles (Mat Zo Remix) [TMN PREMIERE]

I See MONSTAS
Circles (Mat Zo Remix)

First things first – make sure to prepare you ears for the unexpected because they may or may not experience a euphoric pain with the latest Mat Zo remix of I See MONSTAS beautiful DnB track, “Circles”. Last month, “Circles” made its way across our newsfeed and we plunged into a vicious cycle of conflicting emotions that made us run from the feels and straight to the Kleenex box. Now that we have experienced the tear-jerking wonders of the original, it’s time to unleash a grimey new rendition from one of dance musics most profound producers, Mat Zo.

Mat Zo is notorious for his eclectic style of production; whether it be his charming global heart-melting track with Porter Robinson, “Easy”, or his funky electro-house anthem, “Pyramid”, Mat Zo has certainly made a point to his listeners that he is not one to succumb to pigeon-holing himself to one distinct sound. Instead he just plays with whatever he wants and Zo-ifies (new word) it up until it has that signature MZ vibe we all are familiar with. Well ninjas, Mat Zo is back with another genre-pusher in his latest remix of “Circles” and gives us another reason why he is the master at keeping us on our toes. Loaded with heavy elements of dubstep and DnB, Zo throws us an aggressive (and elegant) curveball full of grimey, filthy breakdowns interwtined with a certain delicateness to balance out the flow of the track. After a few listens through this unexpected anthem, it became apparent to us that Zo understands that there is a certain beauty found within chaos, and this remix evidently shows his artistic ability to make us feel mental in a state of complete sanity.

Make sure to peep the original video of “Circles” by I See MONSTAS and cry your eyes out- take this as a warning because you will feel a lot of intense emotions after watching this. Look at this way, it’s Monday, so now you have an excuse to tell your boss why you’re crying like a baby who hasn’t had an afternoon nap yet.

Heart On Fire (SNBRN Remix)

While the Summer weather may be tailing off, what with the National Football League kicking off last week  (that’s the sport we watch religiously in the U.S. for our non North American friends) and temperatures beginning to dip comfortably from those scorching highs stateside; it seems some of our favorite artists’ sounds have begun to shift with the season as well. One of our most beloved L.A. exports, SNBRN, who’s coming off of another viral remix run with his take on Mark Morrison’s “Return Of The Mack”, again enters the eclectic grounds  of TMN this morning with yet another ear enslaving track modification. With his latest remix, SNBRN pulls Indiana‘s lush R&B burner “Heart On Fire” into the more sensual end of his brand of house music; delivering yet another sophisticated, hooky and utterly danceable cut. Warm but hazy synths along with Indiana’s pensive, wistful vocals merge on SNBRN’s version of “Heart On Fire” to create what we think is his most superlative tune yet. When queried about his remix, the skyrocketing house producer articulated: “A few months ago I got this track in my inbox and fell in love, so when I was asked for an official remix I couldn’t wait. With summer coming to an end I wanted to really touch into a darker side of SNBRN. Enjoy this remix and soak up the last bit of summer with me”. As support already rolls in on this one from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and  Clubbers Guide with Ministry of Sound, we’re fairly certain there are going to be droves of listeners doing exactly that. [TMN PREMIERE] DJ Fresh feat. Ellie Goulding – Flashlight (Jack Beats ‘4am’ Remix)

DJ Fresh feat Ellie Goulding
Flashlight (Jack Beats '4am' Remix)

We here at TMN are known for finding talent from all over the world; we spend hours upon hours listening to new music from artists from nearly every geographical location on this planet. Since the start of The Music Ninja, we have come to grow with artists from the early development of their sounds. There is truly nothing more exciting than sharing good music while simultaneously watching these individuals impact their listeners on so many different levels of connectivity.

Some time ago, we were introduced to the London electronic music duo, Jack Beats (Beni G & Plus One). They have become an iconic presence in today’s dance music culture and have established a veteran status as a leading force in production. The Music Ninja has been supporting them from the very beginning, so it’s safe to say we kind of like these guys quite a bit, and know their music on a much more personal level than others.

Today we are pretty damn excited to be premiering the latest remix from Jack Beats – in fact, if you’re tuning in right now, you might have just heard this sensational new remix on Pete Tongs BBC Radio 1 show. The two took on a HEAVY new anthem from DnB master, DJ Fresh. DJ Fresh is one of the most well respected UK artists to have ever stepped foot into the music industry and just recently got involved with the lovely Ellie Goulding for their DnB/Pop/Bass-heavy track, “Flashlight”, set to be out on Ministry of Sound later this month.

Jack Beats took on this absurdly wild song and added their signature JB style to give this track a refreshing, chilled out vibe.  Known for their “wobbly basslines, big breakdowns and edgy accapella’s [that are cut], copied and pasted together to create a floor-filling brand of house…” (The Untz), Jack Beats approached “Flashlight” with a similar mindset and blew this track out of the water. The moment we pressed play, we were introduced with these ethereal, ambient elements that artistically mold into a deep, melodic house progression full of intricately woven melodies that ebb and flow. Ellie’s stunning voice on top of these layered basslines effortlessly guide us on an intrinsically stimulating journey that collectively make us feel much more at peace with ourselves. Jack Beats brought us all a much needed solace from within in this remix and it is obvious that these two are pushing their productions to simultaneously give us a physical and mental release through rhythmical patterns. We are extremely fortunate to be premiering this Pete Tong worldwide exclusive of Jack Beats remix with all of you today and are excited to share this with all of you ninjas. These guys have come a long way in their musical careers and our TMN family is happy to say that we have been there since day 1, and will continue to support them from here on out. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the latest from Jack Beats. Cheers, ninjas!

Pre-Order “Flashlight” on iTunes today – out 10/4/2014
