Phoebe Ryan
Mine (Illenium Remix)

The internet just can’t quite get enough of up and coming singer/songwriter, Phoebe Ryan, and all that resonates from her voice. We’ve been hooked on her since day one, believe it or not. Now that everyone and their mom has swooned over this pop sensation, we have been forced  to brace ourselves for the plethora of Phoebe Ryan remixes that have been slowly making their way to the surface. One such artist that never, EVER, fails at making us feel things from the bottom of our blackened hearts is Denver native and TMN favorite, Illenium. The melodic producer won us over with his most recent remix of Dawn Golden’s ‘All I Want’, and blew us into a field of purified synths and haunting melodies that continue to linger around us to this day.

Today we are excited to share with you the latest from Illenium and his take on Phoebe Ryan’s, “Mine”, and we guarantee this is perfection at its finest. From the moment you press play, you’re introduced with charming chopped vocals, beautiful piano undertones, and uplifting builds that burst with every synth stab and kick. We can’t seem to keep our fingers off the repeat button, so gear up for another elevating remix from Illenium because the melodic master will captivate you like never before. So make sure to grab your free download and soak your soul in a tub of holy water because lord knows you’ll need to cleanse yourself after hearing this gem.

RL Grime- Kingpin (Gorilla Bass Remix)

Wacky tunes are fun. Even if you don’t necessarily enjoy them, you can tell that they have a creative character that’s not simply a remolded hunk of sound. Take this remix from Gorilla Bass, whose take on RL Grime’s “Kingpin” is not your typical trap tune. In fact, not only are you taken to the trap, but you dive into some quirky jersey club action that makes this remix one dope listen. Chances are you’ll give this more than just one listen, and to those who do, you’ll be glad to know that you can grab this track for free. Gorilla Bass brings an interesting sound out of Chicago, with his sound design being something that can make him stick out if he keeps up the interesting work. This remix is four minutes and thirty six seconds of pure fire, so enjoy it. Try not to burn yourself.

[Indie Electronic] Golden Coast ft. Sirah – Futurist (Sirah Remix)

Golden Coast Ft Sirah
Futurist (Sirah Remix)

We’ve covered the original, and now Golden Coast‘s “Futurist” gets a trapped out treatment courtest of the Grammy award winning Sirah. Not only does she flip the tune from a indie pop masterpiece into a hip-hop jam unnaturally well, Sirah decided to go ahead and rip a verse as well. Needles to say Sirah backs up her award with ease, and she’s opened the door for Golden Coast in a big way. Their falsettos are clean and clear and balance out her seasoned flow perfectly on the second half of the track. Hopefully in the future we can get an actual collaboration between these two, because if this remix tells us anything, they could make a huge tune together.

Lollipop (1DAFUL 'G-house' Remix)

First off, I may be alone here, but I REALLY miss Tha Carter III era Weezy. With that being said, 1DAFUL returns with a another gigantic remix with one of the first and most popular singles off of that great Lil’ Wayne album, “Lollipop.” Juggling a G-House and trap hybrid, these Canadians are continuing their trend of dancefloor ace in the holes with gut wrenching bass, shifty and buzzing synths, and a deep groove you can unashamedly shake your booty to. Hip-hop and house are coming closer together every day with these types of remixes, and it’s been a fun experience to see what producers like 1DAFUL have under their sleeves next. [Progressive House] Ellie Goulding – Love Me Like You Do (ATB Remix)

Ellie Goulding
Love Me Like You Do (ATB Remix)

Here’s a quick little history lesson for any dance music newbies that just became accustomed to the scene over the past year or two. When the EDM boom came to America, it was predominantly lead by a clique of European DJs/producers that were finally able to take their aspirations to the next level. One instrumental artist within the aforementioned group has been recently locked away in the studio. You probably guessed who it is, but if you haven’t, we’ll fill you in – ATB.

This storied German producer can be defined by his uplifting melody-driven anthems that teeter on the line between progressive house and trance. To kick off 2015 in an epic fashion, ATB has remixed songstress Ellie Goulding’s single “Love Me Like You Do” off the soundtrack of everybody’s favorite Valentines Day movie, Fifty Shades of Grey. The German powerhouse overlays an assortment of galactic chord progressions, engaging synth trickles, and electrifying kick drums to reassert his dominance as a pioneering producer. To gift his loyal fans for his support, ATB has uploaded the track for free and it can be downloaded here.

HiyHiy (WATERBED Remix)

Not only is this track the latest and greatest premiere here on TMN, but it’s also both LostBoyCrow and Waterbed’s debuts on the site and the rest of catalogue finds themselves in good company with this release. LostBoyCrow comes to us from the warm streets of LA where it seems everyone has a dream, but not everyone has the talent or hustle to make it work. He’s only a few releases in but he’s proving himself to be an A&R’s dream come true with his unparalleled skills that will strike gold in today’s R&B market. WATERBED come to us with a Golden State of mind as well, and this certainly won’t be the last time we feature this dreamy duo either. It may be frozen east of the Rockies, but you can still warm up to anything on these two’s catalogue, we promise. As for the remix, it’s a knock out of the park. Airy, energetic, and a nice blend between indie pop & R&B, this track will make waves very soon.
