Justin Bieber – All That Matters (LUCA LUSH Remix) [TMN Premiere]

Justin Bieber
All That Matters (LUCA LUSH Remix)

We realize we’re probably starting to sound like a broken record when it comes to LUCA LUSH, but the remixes keep arriving, and they continue to deliver fantastic results. The latest operation under LL’s supervision is Justin Bieber’s “All That Matters,” and this one is yet another doozy. This remix is almost two songs is one, as the first drop is is a gated futuristic affair with booming bass drums and shimmering synths, while the second goes one deeper and dives headfirst into a plunging garage/deep rhythm. There’s no telling where a LUCA LUSH tune is truly capable of going, and his versatility shines through yet again as he rises through the ranks on each and every release. [Indie Dance] The Weeknd – Where You Belong (Shèmce Remix)

The Weeknd
Where You Belong (Shèmce Remix)

The Weeknd is one of those artists who is simply perfect for remixing, and even just trying to think about the number of new renditions of his music out there is staggering. Shifting gears from his sensual R&B livelihood, The Weeknd gets a gritty and groovy makeover courtesy of Shèmce. The whole track is shape shifted and structured for massive replay value, and even with the complete genre flip, the tune retains the expected amount of sexiness that comes with every Weeknd track. Shèmce clearly has no reservations about trying new things, as evident by his choices on the artists he has previously remixed (Betty Who, Ben. E. King, and Adrian Lux), and his transformation of The Weeknd’s “Where You Belong” has seen a good amount of success so far for a reason. Grab the download and kick off your week with a solid tune to warm up to.

[Indie] Matrimony – Giant (Ghosts Remix)

Matrimony
Giant (Ghosts Remix)

Who is Ghosts? We’re not exactly sure, but this Austrian act has some incredible works making up his/her/their discography. The latest edition is a “Giant” remix of Matrimony that is a super chill indie creation. Now that the week is over, you can kick back and relax, with this song being one thing that can help you sink into the weekend. Ghosts’ production doesn’t stray too far off from the original vibe, but the act didn’t rely on Matrimony to drive things forward. The original content added into this is breathtaking to say the least. This is the fourth track released by Ghosts, and it surely won’t be the last. You can grab it, and all the other songs for free over on Soundcloud.

Little Daylight – My Life (Halogen Remix) [TMN PREMIERE]

Little Daylight
My Life (Halogen Remix)

It’s only been a few weeks since this Atlanta-based producer/DJ duo has graced the pages of TMN, but Halogen has apparently been busy in the studio crafting more solid tunes. This time around, they’re taking a crack at the vocoder-heavy stylings of Little Daylight, and it’s quite spectacular.

Gone are the whimsical electro pop vibes that so many have come to swoon over for the past few years, and in their place are festival and club-friendly grooves we’ve come to expect from these two up-and-coming producers. Undeniably a dance floor pleaser, this future house interpretation calls on the original through well-crafted vocal samples, but takes on a personality of it’s own with engaging percussion work and a melody that immediately draws you in.

Look for more big things from Halogen throughout this year. We have a feeling they have plenty of tricks up their sleeves for 2015.

[Chill] Above & Beyond – Sun & Moon (Deuxième Revisit)

Above & Beyond
Sun & Moon (Deuxième Revisit)

We use the term “chill” on TMN to describe everything from dubstep to Norah Jones covers. What we have for you today can be found elsewhere throughout the blogosphere as well as next to the definition of “chill” in your 2015 Merriam-Webster dictionary. I challenge you to have pants on by the time this tune ends, by your doing or someone else’s. “Sun & Moon” has been remixed and covered and mashed up to death in the electronic music world but nobody ever mentioned anything about jazz. Enter Deuxième aka the two most creative cats to come out of Connecticut in a minute aka the offspring of Duke Silver and Kenny G. Their spin on this is romantic, if not ethereal, and we are at a loss of words to truly put in words the type of way this has us feeling. Enjoy Ninjas and Ninjettes.

Odesza
All We Need (Haywyre Remix)

I swear, Haywyre can do no wrong. Whether it’s originals or remixes, like his latest one of Odesza, he manages to create works that stand out to an extraordinary degree. He’s been playing this flip of “All We Need” in his sets, and I can only imagine how the crowds have reacted to it. This genre melting pot he cooked up is already blowing up for good reason. With such a funky, future indie sound, this is a hallmark remix that stays incredibly entertaining from beginning to end. We can only hope for a live video of him playing this, like he has done for some of his works in the past. Even if not, the song is excellent enough to satisfy our Haywyre needs. Martin has released this remix for free, so go on and grab it above!
