The Very Soulful Nina Simone – Feeling Good (Troublemaker Remix) + Muse Cover
The fine folks over at EA asked me to remix this classic Nina Simone song for their new game, The Saboteur.
Much like my previous Johnny Cash remix, there were no “parts” or a “session,” just a stereo master to work with on this one. -Troublemaker
A great jazzy soulful song with a very dynamic vocal range making it one of the best and most emotional songs ever written. Since its conception in 1965 by song writers Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse, the song has been covered by A LOT of artists including Nina Simone, Sammy Davis Jr., Eels, Michael Bublé, The Pussycat Dolls, My Brightest Diamond, Muse, George Michael, Joe Bonamassa, John Barrowman, Adam Lambert, John Coltrane, Aṣa, David Hasselhoff, Muse (band), and Toše Proeski.

[Music Soundtrack] HOUSE, NIP/TUCK, GOSSIP GIRL, BROTHERS AND SISTERS
I feel like nip/tuck is just getting darker and more depressing to watch. Might stop watching it.. however, One of the song in Season 6 Episode 07 “Alexis Stone II” was the popular “Goodbye Horses by Q Lazzarus, a one hit wonder from this American female singer. Originally released in 1988!
While I do not watch the show Brothers and Sisters, I can’t pass the opportunity to post Whooping Crane written by Eric Taylor but performed by American singer-songwriter Lyle Pearce Lovett. A country/folk song that sounds a tad depressing but its overall soothing.

Brothers and Sisters Season 4 Episode 9 “Pregnant Pause” also featured music soundtrack by Thievery Corporation‘s Hare Krisna.

House M.D. Yes Wilson is probably the one character that whines the most but he always provides comedic relief every time he interchanges words with good ol’ stubborned House. Season 6 episode 10 was all about “Wilson” as they finally explored the other layers of this secondary character.
A.A. Bondy is actually the birth name (the initials stand for Auguste Arthur) of Scott Bondy. After breaking up with a band he used to be in 2003, Bondy retreated to his Catskills home in Palenville in upstate New York and in time began writing songs again, emerging with a stripped-down indie folk sound.
Bondy’s latest album ‘When The Devil’s Loose’ is available in the US and (most) European countries since september 1st, 2009
Do I care much for Gossip Girls? Nope, not at all. Have I even given it a try? Not a chance. Should fans of both this site and Gossip Girls suffer because of my prejudice against this series? Not if they post amazing music! And Gossip Girls music soundtrack has delivered yet again.

[Acoustic] I Am In Love With Anya Marina…’s Voice
It is a fantastic feeling. The feeling of utter amazement, almost like what a kid feels as he visits a theme park for the first time. A music rush for this music junkie. Thanks to my stationary job I can afford to listen to music almost every day and every once in a while there is a song/artist that just hits closer to home than other.
Browsing around Sheena Beaston’s blog I came across the beautiful singer/songwriter Anya Marina from San Diego, California. A calm smoky voice softly covering the warm melodies of her acoustic guitar. It feels like Jazz, sounds a bit folky and it is full of enough alternative/pop elements to make your hands and feet move along to its charming rhythm.
On January of 2009 she released her latest album called Slow & Steady Seduction, Phase II. And just recently her cover of Whatever You Like by T.I. aired on the soundtrack of Gossip Girls. Covers are always great to hear but this song hits it out of the park. I really hope we see more of Anya Marina in 2010.

[Games] Dj Hero Sountrack
If you are a music fan, and by reading this you probably already are one, then you should be familiar with the plethora of musical/timing games, like Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Band Hero, and now DJ Hero just to name a few. To celebrate the release of Dj Hero we put together a small sample playlist of some of the best songs we found on the game’s soundtrack, to give you a taste of what you can expect. The game track list is mostly compromised of good quality mash-ups, combining two tracks to try to form a distinct experience for the player. Although these tracks were some of the best we found, we also noticed many mediocre ones that only seem to be enjoyable when you are playing the game but otherwise do not have much playback value.
The game is definitely worth checking out.

Kid Cudi vs. Black Eyed Peas -Day N Nite vs. Boom Boom Pow
Jay-Z vs. The Jackson 5Izzo (H.O.V.A.) vs. I Want You Back
