Bombay Bicycle Club – Shuffle (Leo Zero Remix)

Bombay Bicycle Club, the British folk rock band that won Best New Band at the NME awards last year is set to release their third album, A Different Kind of Fix August 29th. ‘Shuffle’, featuring the soft vocal style of Jack Steadman coupled with an infectious poppy beat, was released as a single a couple months back and remixes are finally surfacing. While not much of a depart from the original, London producer Leo Zero gave the song more weight by adding a stronger bassline, drums and slightly enhancing the piano with some synth action. Just as b3sci, said it, the result amounts to the most delicious of Brit Rock electro sundaes for your Monday! (Corny but give us a break it is Monday morning after all.)

[Soundtrack] Breaking Bad Season 4 Ending Credits + RZA contributes verse to “Truth”

Breaking Bad is Back and Season 4 shows a lot of promise (don’t worry will not give any spoilers from last nights episode). I started these Soundtrack post to celebrate independent artists making it to both the big screen and Television. While I am sure the song in the ending credits was recognizable to all you Music Ninja readers, for those few of you that just need to know, it was by no one other than Alex Ebert with incredible single, “Truth“.

Truth was released a while back as a single for Ebert’s self titled solo debut album. Alexander has been featured on many other TV show soundtracks, most recently on season 4 of Chuck but having the entire ending credits of Season 4 of Breaking Bad is an incredible feature.

We have blogged the track many times since we first heard about it, and instead of just posting the original, here a little twist with RZA (Wu-Tang Clan) contributing a verse to the song. Enjoy.

Casual Readers! Music Junkie, MP3 grabbers and all the sexy Music Ninja Fans out there!

Over the course of the next couple of weeks (starting June 1st) there will be many exciting changes when it comes to layout redesign, new features, increasing the amount of quality editorials/posts, and expanding our sub-genre coverage. Before we start changing things around, I want to know what you guys think of the site. We want to make 2011 an explosive year and I am EXTREMELY curious to have your feedback.

PLEASE PLEASE no matter if it is your first time here, or a fan from long ago, I would like for you to comment below with any type of ideas, suggestions and expectation you would want from us this year. It doesn’t have to be specific to us, is there something music blogs lack? Something we can improve. POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE!

You guys, the readers of this site are the most important people to me and I just want to make sure we can please your ears for years to come.

So a couple of questions I would like answered.

1) Is there a genre you would like to see more coverage? (ive done a lot of electro lately, should we cover more indie/hip/hop too?)

Chuck is BACK (well it was last week) and so its the amazing soundtrack of songs being selected every week. The Buy More got rebuilt, now as a super secret base full of undercover Agents, Eli is preggers and Chuck and Sarah are happily working things out with their relationship. Everything so far in the last two episodes have been very calm and collected, especially the end of Chuck Season 4 Episode 2 Versus the Suitcase with the carefully crafted song “A Girl, a Boy and a Graveyard” serenading at the end as Sarah finally unpacks.
