Fytch ft. Alisa Nappa – Over My Head [TMN Premiere]

Fytch
Over My Head (ft. Alisa Nappa)

Who doesn’t fancy some bass music to start off their Monday morning? Well we’ve got just the right track for you today. Following the success of “Sirens Over Paris”, which was played out by Porter Robinson during his Holy Ship set earlier this year, French producer Fytch has granted us with another gem off of his upcoming Falls Like Rain EP, and it’s definitely one of our favorites.

Fusing Alisa Nappa‘s alternative vocals with his signature heavy bass synths, Fytch knocks this one out of the ball park. “Over My Head” embodies an ominous and eerie atmosphere while getting your attention through infectious melodies provided by the lustful vocals. The drop combines the tweaked vocals and some electric sounding bass synth together with some trap elements. It’s unique in its own way, and we promise you’ll get hooked from your first listen.

If you dig the track, be sure to check out Fytch’s Falls Like Rain EP coming out on March 31 via Heroics Recordings. Trust us – you do not want to miss out.

Evangeline
My Kingdom (DEVAULT REMIX)

There are a ton of artists that we continually support here at The Music Ninja. One of those is the LA producer DEVAULT. Today we are lucky to be the first to share with you his brand new remix of “My Kingdom” by Evangeline. The electro-pop original was just asking to be flipped into something new, which is where DEVAULT came in with his future sound.

For being just nineteen years old, DEVAULT brings some fresh sounds to the table, and is able to re-imagine anything he gets his hands on. With “My Kingdom” he utilizes his signature sound with a little subtle twist on it. DEVAULT has mastered the future meets trap hybrid, which is one of the reasons he has been able to establish himself as a creator to have your eye on. It’s also a reason his past few records have been pushing or exceeding the 100K count on Soundcloud. This new one is about to make a splash. Check it out, and make sure to grab the free download.

Sam Paye & Eleventy Million – The Yoga Pose [TMN Premiere]

’Sam Paye + Eleventy Million – The Yoga Pose’

Sam Paye of Seattle has brought forth his latest original single “The Yoga Pose” as a premiere for us ninjas. We present to you his creation with rapper Eleventy Million. “The Yoga Pose” is a danceabale mixture of hip-hop, pop and electronic music. There’s a lot going on in this three minutes of audio that is tailored for the eclectic taste.

Sam delivers an instrumental whose sound jumps around with different sounds ranging from progressive synths to 80’s basses to saxophone. On top of the diverse beat is Eleventy Million’s vocal performance that, for the most part, isn’t just straight rapping. We get a crowd-controlling expression that is more akin to a hypeman than someone spitting lyrics; although there are phrases of straight rap. After all, this is a party record. “The Yoga Pose” will be available through Bomb Recordings tomorrow. Until then, stream the full preview before it’s up for grabs.

IVARR & Ma-Less – ASS (Original Mix) [TMN Premiere]

IVARR & Ma-less
ASS (Original Mix)

We recently came across a tweet that stated that dating in the music industry is an oxymoron. If that’s true, then IVARR & Ma-Less are breaking the mold. Moreover, they’re breaking the mold with their incredible music, separately, and now together with “ASS.” “ASS” is a bubbly original that we had to get our hands on for a premiere. The track has strong jungle sensibilities that can’t be ignored, especially with producers moving towards breakbeat style records. IVARR and Ma-Less got that game on lock.

With “ASS” we get a party-centric record that will get all the booties shaking. Both these producers know how to get a party started as DJs, so you could expect their productions to do the same. The two creators don’t do a whole lot with the record, letting the minimal melodies speak for themselves along the bustling kick patterns. The playful percussion and varied sounds that come in fill out the sonic picture with the right amount of flare to make this one a grade A record. Although literal ass is not really free, this “ASS” is, so download it!

LOLAWOLF – Drive (Clayjay Remix) [TMN PREMIERE]

LOLAWOLF
Drive (Clayjay Remix)

Clayjay has been on our radar for quite some time now. Following the success of “Deer Stared At Me”, the young producer is back at it again with a brand new remix of LOLAWOLF‘s “Drive”.

The original tune is stripped and sped up to suit a rather casual vibe. Zoe Kravitz from LOLAWOLF provides an infectious melody with her delightful vocals, which complements the joyous energy of the tune. The signature synth stabs and swift drums in the drop will get your adrenaline level tenfold, and it’s definitely something we haven’t seen from Clayjay before.

This gem shows just how versatile Clayjay’s music can be. His evolving sound is something we look forward to with every new release. Make sure to show some support and grab a free download if you dig the track!

Faulkner – Waters Are A Rising [TMN Premiere]

Everyone knows the phrase, “snitches get stitches.” The bi-coastal band Faulkner has taken that phrase to heart for the creation of their latest song “Waters Are A Rising” that the ninjas premiere to you. The retributive single takes the best rock sounds from the past few decades and puts them into one single creation. The verses and chorus juxtapose each other incredibly well, and then Faulkner changes things up again with the refrain in the second half of the song that leads to a climactic finish.

There’s a real push and pull with this record that makes it a great listen. You won’t simply be listening to the song; rather, you will feel engaged with it. That’s when you know you have something special. “Waters Are A Rising” is the second single off Faulkner’s upcoming EP Revanchist. You get full peak of the track early, however you will have to wait until March 11th to own it thanks to Street Invasion Records.
