Let’s end the week nicely with a dirty premiere shall we? Enter sfam and the new single “Expand” from the producer’s EP of the same name. The duo’s project has dropped through Quality Goods Records today and we’ve got the premiere for you. Ready for an exclusive first listen?

“Expand” showcases sfam’s heightened rhythmic senses. Different sounds play with each other in a way that’s unusual if you were to collect a handful of bass records together. That unique style is part of what makes this single stand out. Superb sound design and a seasoned display of minimalism go a long way to making this song what it is. We’re proud to present something so interesting to you to end the week and we hope you check out the entire EP – maybe you’ll even expand your digital library with a copy of it. We did!

With how amazing Kai Wachi‘s music is, he’s going to live forever through the legacy he is building. This is somewhat ironic given the name of his latest project, Die Young, that was released today on Kannibalen Records. The project is another step in the right direction for Kai who is already steps ahead of most producers.

Officially Die Young features four originals including “LUVSICK” that is already a success in its own right as a single. On top of the hybrid tracks that he’s added to the mix, we get a bonus free download called “No Games” that can only be found on Soundcloud. Our guess is that it has to do with an uncleared vocal sample. It’s good for us though, as we can get this one for free. Even if it wasn’t the entire EP is worth the purchase price. Get ready to get filthy with some bass, Die Young is here. Get your copy online, or add it to your playlists!

At The Music Ninja, we LOVE Fridays. Not only does it mean we get to relax, have fun and sleep in, but most importantly, it means new music. This is also why Friday is one of the hardest days for us. With so many incredible releases, it’s quite difficult for us to tackle all of those newfound singles in one day. That’s why today we are going to share one of our favorite Friday finds from hard trap pioneer SAYMYNAME titled “Drop It.”

The Los Angeles-based producer had us on the edge of our seats with his blood-pumping single. Bass lovers around the world are bound to fall head over heels for the original’s dirty demeanor. The excitement doesn’t just end with the release though. “Drop It” comes with the exciting news of SAYMYNAME’s recent announcement of his US What’s My Name Tour. Enter the dojo today to get your scoop of Assthetiks from SIKKIE. We’ve got you covered on the exclusive first listen to the Oakland to LA emcee’s EP. Complete with four originals and a remix, this project will make your Monday not suck. It’s also a free download, so there’s that.

Assthetiks is a strong trap/hip-hop EP, one of the better ones we’ve come across this year. It’s got heavy influence from the Bay Area culture and sound, which should come as no surprise given SIKKIE’s roots. Strong, simple production can be a powerful thing, which is evident from this project. All of the originals are great to listen to on your own, or if you’re looking to keep the party going late into the night. Zipse’s remix adds a nice touch to close things out as well!

Boston and Philly teamed up by way of Greg Gatsby and URBANO. “So Easy” is their creation and it must have come together that way because it’s a seamless treat. With all the talent involved in this, you know you’re getting into something out of the ordinary.

“So Easy” is a hybrid trap single that takes some subtle influence from its heavier dubstep counterpart. In regards to the vocals from URBANO, we get a mix of the more poppy, sing-song style with hip-hop lines that give this song its extra dynamic edge.
