Last weekend was just too crazy with Electric Forest and EDC going on. This weekend, round two of Electric Forest is here and we’ll be out in the wild if any of you readers will be there too! Whether you’re traveling to EF, anywhere else or just chilling in your own town, we’ve got music to take your weekend to the next level. There has been so many great tracks released and many of them were free downloads. We’ve collected our favorites and shared them below. [News] The Mile High City’s Nightlife Scene is Getting an Upgrade

I’ve had the ultimate pleasure of witnessing the evolution of Denver’s nightlife scene over the past 17 years. From the 16+ nights at the old Trax location, to the continual growth of dance music pillars like The Church, Beta, and Vinyl, to all of the “not-to-be-named” underground shows, I’ve truly seen it all.

Over the past few years, as the Mile High City has exploded with implants from all across the country and world, I’ve been anticipating the arrival of a new player in the game. And, according to my sources, that day has come. While the details are murky, at best, all accounts are pointing to a well-established nightlife group out of the Bay Area moving into a long-term lease somewhere in downtown Denver. The club promises to bring a level of production on par with other top-notch dance destinations, complete with world class talent, in an effort to redefine the growing landscape of places to get your groove on.

It’s quite rare to see an artist come out with an entire EP of remixes, but that’s just what VenessaMichaels has at the ready. To tease her highly anticipated Now That’s What I Call 2090 EP, she’s delivered a fun music video for her take on “Get Busy” by Sean Paul. If you like big butts and you cannot lie, then this music video is just for you.

Aside from the music video, she’s released the track early as a free download for fans to get before the entire EP drops soon. With the music video, there’s a whole lot of ladies with luchador masks, but instead of wrestling, they’re shaking their butts all over the place, even all over Venessa! Chances are high that you are unfamiliar with Olly. Why? The Orange County producer has less than 500 followers on Soundcloud, but not because a lack of talent. With only a handful of tracks having been released over the past six months, Olly is in the very beginning of what could be a great career in bass music. Just take the remix of “Deeper Love” by Tascione & TYNVN as evidence of that.

Olly went hard on this one. The original was hype; a great trap record that came in at over 200K plays on SC alone, so taking it on isn’t easy. That didn’t matter as Olly smashed this flip for a song that could easily be played out by the biggest names in the business. It’s one of those gems that only comes along on rare occasion, a special find that deserves to be shared with as many people as possible. We’ve shared it with you, now you share it elsewhere!

We didn’t get the Halsey x Slander original we wanted, but the duo has come through with a remix of her song “Now Or Never.” Released as a free download, this track no doubt has been and will be rocked in their sets over the Summer.

With all the remixes coming out, this is one that stands out, not only because of who the remixer is and who they’re remixing, but because it’s a grand musical illustration that is just what the mainstage is looking for.
