[Electronic] ZEKE BEATS – Dispatch EP

ZEKE BEATS
Dispatch

ZEKE BEATS has always had some interesting music to share. Recently, the Australian came out with the four track EP entitled Dispatch. With other worldly sounds, ZEKE BEATS was able to put together one of the coolest projects this year. That’s no joke, in fact we’re going to link you to the digital services right now, where you can add these stunning tunes to your digital library. You’ll want it.

Dispatch is a journey to new fronts for bass music. There’s always been a huge spectrum of just how experimental or not bass music can be. This EP has the perfect blend of each side; some non-conventional sounds mixed in with a whole lot of accessibility. For whatever reason, there is a lot of groundbreaking music coming out of Australia and ZEKE BEATS is and has been a pillar in that community. Space age bass meets new wave trap throughout this EP, with each song breaking off a different slice of sounds. If we were to go out on a leap, we’d say “Payload” is the favorite, but even we’re not sure. Check out the EP and try and pick yours!

Dabin
Lilith (feat. Apashe & Madi)

What do you get when you mix Dabin, APASHE, and Madi into one beautifully written track? A melodic and mind bending sensory overload capable of tearing us in three different, but very welcome, directions. Released as the second single off of Kannibalen Records artist Dabin’s album, Two Hearts, the triad of sounds that is “Lilith” melds together the sweet vocals of Madi, Dabin’s delectable instrumental melodies and the well-known hard hitting bass of APASHE. While the track starts out smooth we’re soon catapulted into a heavy drop of synthy bass giving “Lilith” a pleasant and unexpected twist. Two Hearts is set for release on March 31st, however pre-order is currently available on iTunes. If you go ahead and pre-order, you get the single early!

[Electronic] Afrojack – Used to Have it All (Dirty Audio Remix)

We may have already featured this in our new Spotify playlist, Back that Bass Up, but Dirty Audio’s sock game isn’t the only thing that strong. His recent releases have been straight fire and his official remix to Afrojack’s “Used To Have It All” is no exception. This groovy house vibe gets a signature make-over from the LA producer known for indulging in lots of coffee, stabbing synths, and hard drops. The elegant vocals are still present, but this flip gives the track a whole new club and festival ready vibe that we’re sure to see all summer. You can buy and stream this latest release here.

[Electronic] BLVK SHEEP – Run feat. Tima Dee & Giant Spirit

Blvk Sheep
Run (feat. Tima Dee & Giant Spirit)

So far 2017 has shown us that a producer’s main goal is to toy with our emotions. We’ve seen vocalists incorporate lyrics that give us something to relate to and the melodies that accompany these lyrics are capable of inducing the same emotions regardless if the lyrics are there or not. BLVK SHEEP’s last release from his Mind EP, “Run” incorporates a vibrant and raw combination of vocals from Tima Dee and a surprising and very welcome riff of guitar chords from Giant Spirit, combining multiple sounds that leave us wanting more from this budding producer. The energy in this hybrid trap track is potent throughout, yet still leaves room for the emotionally laden lyrics from Tima.
