[Electronic] DROELOE – In Time feat. Belle Doron

DROELOE
In Time (ft. Belle Doron)

Clean and crisp are the first words that come to mind when listening to DROELOE’S latest release, “In Time.” Not only does this describe the production, but vocals from Belle Doron deserve the same adjectives to be applied. Though the lyrics remain simple they guide you through an intrinsic pairing of sounds that leave the listener to experience everything from intense emotion, climactic synth laden lines, hip-hop beats and can’t be missed bass. A beyond impressive track for DROELOE leaving us excited for more.

When we were first working on the instrumental we had an idea of how the song was going to sound, but we weren’t sure about the specific feelings we were trying to convey. Then, Bella sent us her vocals and we were absolutely blown away by her emotion and lyrics. We instantly knew that the track was going to carry a sense of ‘reminiscing of the past’ and that’s how “In Time” was born.

Even better, the track is available to stream or download, for free, here.

[Trap] Migos – Bad and Boujee (R3HAB vs No Riddim & it’s different Remix)

We’re already seeing as many “Bad and Boujee” remixes as we can handle and it won’t stop anytime soon. However, there is one particular remix that has stuck out to us from three acts. The esteemed R3HAB came together with the up and coming No Riddim & it’s different to take on Donald Glover’s favorite tune.

They keep the trap vibe, but bring in some heavier sensibilities for a true festival masterpiece. It has some characteristics of the more simplistic vibe of the likes of Flosstradamus, but incorporates the hybrid style of more intriguing producers. We have no doubt this one will be played out live by DJs all over the world for some time to come. When everyone is desperately releasing remixes for a hype track, sometimes the result is a bit lacking. That’s not the case here, as all three acts bring their A game.

[Multi-Genre] Two Friends & Exit Friendzone ft. Natalola – Overdose Remixes

Armada Music gets behind a lot of great projects and what we have for you today is one of them. Two Friends and Exit Friendzone put together an impressive remix pack for their single “Overdose.” The EP includes four remixes that utilize the original vocal from Natalola while doing justice to the full first release.

The project starts off with CRWNS, whose vibey future take on “Overdose” is a strong beginning step for the EP. Secondly, Sokko kicks things into a slightly different gear with a light-hearted breakbeat jam. And it is a jam. We knew we were getting into something good when we saw Jameston Thieves on the list. His remix is the most unique and energetic on the project; a standout as usual. Lastly, the talented Jinco closes it out with a trappy, future blend that has a lot of appeal to a wide audience. [Trap] Infuze – Alive (Ft. Brave)

Infuze
Alive ft. Brave

The thunderous trap producer Infuze is back with the single “Alive” on Fools Gold featuring the golden pipes of singer/songwriter Brave. We have always loved the Bushwick-based trap and dance producer Infuze for his on-point arrangement ability and willingness to execute some serious left-field sound design, as we first heard on his remix for Bassnectar’s “Mystery Song”.

The same low-down, razor sharp synths that caught my ear on his remix for Nectar creep into “Alive” during the booming, spacious, traditionally-trap drop. During the buildup, Brave’s thematically simple but emotionally captivating lyrics layer well over the warm synth tones and arpeggiated melody laid down by the producer.

Often, and perhaps this goes without saying for some, a trap drop can sound played out. Yet Infuze keeps it fresh in his mix by infusing complex or unorthodox sounds which contrast well with more traditional trappings of this genre like the booming kicks and high-pitched lead melodies. Brave’s contribution also powers this track. We’re confident we’ll hear from her again at least a few times throughout 2017.

[Trap] Ekali & KRANE – Akira

Ekali & KRANE
Akira

THIS is how you kick off a new year. Ekali and KRANE have already established themselves as household names in the ever-changing genre of trap, so seeing them join forces on a monstrous collaboration is cause for celebration.

“Akira” is a marvel of melody and powerful percussion that utilizes the unique and outstanding aspects of each producer’s best qualities in a manner similar to the recent RL Grime, Skrillex, and What So Not smash, “Waiting”. One could even argue that these two might have just upstaged those legends on their new tune, but that’s for you to decide. Either way, “Akira” is going to be getting a LOT of festival play over the next couple of months without fail.

As for the rest of 2017, “Akira” is a strong way to start, and we’re certainly hoping for the possibility of more from Ekali and KRANE in the future. Do yourself a favor and grab the free download while you can!

Lights Out (Feat. Abhi the Nomad)

One of the artists we always look forward to hearing from is PatrickReza. 2017 is set to be an incredible year for the young producer who has put out quality single after single. He continues his stride with his newest original, “Lights Out” featuring Abhi the Nomad.

With electronic music increasingly melding the hip-hop/pop world into its belly, we’re going to get a lot more records like this one. The only thing is, a lot of them will not be this good. Patrick shows yet again why he deserves to be on everyone’s radar, while Abhi does the same with his performance on this one. “Lights Out” has an interesting sound; it is tailored to the trap style, but doesn’t hold itself completely to it. Patrick puts his own flavor in, with the result being something spectacular. Not only is it a memorable piece of music, but it is available for free.
