So who says you can’t have a nap with some dubstep gently nurturing you to sleep? Not me, so today I’ve got tracks to get you to you in peak nap condition.
First up is one of my favourite finds this month and it came courtesy of Sound Remedy‘s Facebook. The Chicago born dubstep producer recently featured on The Music Ninja with his Fuck Bill [O’Reily] Feat. Tyler, The Creator, political bombshell of track. This time he’s tamed his synth frequency dials and turned his hand to creating a much darker track using Beethoven’s classic Moonlight Sonata.

Next up is 19 year old producer fAux who released this remix a few months back but it wasn’t really picked up. Taking the stems from Castle Walls by T.I and Christina Aguilera, the Australian producer has weaved together some magic and created a beautifully chilled sound. Brilliant.

Here’s a track from London based dubstep producer Eggchan. Set to feature on the Gamma Audio upcoming Global Wub Vol 3 compilation, Eggchan has really created a stunning composition which could be in danger of setting a pretty eery atmosphere wherever it’s played. Throwing out glitches and pops on-top of a text book vocal sample – this producer is definitely one to bookmark.

Finally, this track from Jakwob was released under his own record label Boom Ting Recordings back in September 2010 but it deserves a second play. At the time Jakwob was rolling off the success of his Ellie Goulding remixes and his next track was highly anticipated. On it’s release people were skeptical about the sound, but what’s interesting is that a lot of dubstep sounds and shapes have moved towards this broader horizon and the fact I’m still enjoying this track 10 months on proves (at least to me) that he was onto a winner.
