Finally, after months of anticipation, UK Drum and Bass heavyweights Drumsound and Bassline Smith grace us with their Through The Night EP. The original track is a solid liquid Drum and Bass tune which utilizes delicate vocals from Tom Cain, to develop a unique melodic feel not always present in Drum and Bass. Also, featured on the EP are remixes from Bare Noize, 501, and Horx & P3000. Bare Noize and Horx & P3000 bring their own unique dubstep interpretations to the track, slowing down the original and emphasizing the vocals with aggressive synths and snarling bass. The 501 remix appears to be the most original of the remixes, completely transforming the track from start to finish. 501’s production is immaculate adding fierce wobbles and laser synths to create massive buildups and drops making his rendition a true dubstep banger. None of these tracks are something you want to miss out on so give the EP a listen and make sure to support the artists on Beatport.
