Burn (feat. Kendra Dias)
Ninjas, with Ultra Music Festival over and the brunt of the week still ahead of us, we’ve got the perfect cure to help you get out of those post-rave blues and get over the hump. This time, the cure comes from the 18-year-old, Vancouver native, Dmitriy Burenok, also known as SYRE, in the form of his latest original, “Burn.” One defining characteristic of SYRE’s music is his willingness to challenge himself and break through traditional genre boundaries and create a truly immersive musical experience that is fitting for any setting, and his latest offering does not fall short in that regard.
Featuring the lovely Kendra Dias on the vocals, “Burn” walks a fine line between house and nu-disco. The tune opens with an interesting sample of ping-pong balls before transitioning into undulated synth patterns and bouncing bass lines layered underneath Dias’ orchestral vocals.
