Copenhagen’s Indians (AKA Soren Juul) is bucking the current trend for upbeat Scandinavian indie-pop with ‘Magic Kids’, a gloriously elegant slice of melancholic electronica. Filled with ethereal vocals chanting desolate lyrics – “your eyes do not see anymore” is a particularly haunting moment – and delicate twinkling synths, this track is almost heartbreakingly beautiful and will win over fans of darker synth-pop.
