There are far too many shining moments on Mesita‘s new track “XYXY” that it’s hard to pick and choose what to gush about. The Colorado-based musician (whose actual name is James Cooley) squeezes in twinkling piano, blaring horns, pouncing percussion, and jumping synths in just five minutes, blending elements of electronica, pop and even jazz for a song that, despite all its varied parts, like a mosaic comes together perfectly, beautifully.
