For dark and throbbing electronica-infused R&B, look no further than rising Los Angeles artist Bago. Aptly described as a cross between Amy Winehouse and The Weeknd, her music has fearless attitude, sexual appeal, and gives off that distinct feeling that she’s always plotting something mischievous — like a slithering, stealthy snake that’s dangerous, but always studied, marveled and stared at. Whether it’s the doom-like atmospherics in her songs, or that sassy & soulful gravelly voice, Bago is definitely one to watch in 2013.
