Daedalus (What We Have)
There’s something about summer time that really makes us appreciate the banjo more. While we’d love nothing more than hearing some delicate plucks of those twangy southern strings on their own, we’re of course elated to hear the overwhelming depth in musical soundscape that is “Daedalus (What We Have).”
Woodwind, horns, impeccable vocal harmonies and of course the powerfully smokey vocals of San Fermin’s lead singer provide a spiritually uplifting indie folk tune. While you may feel like these cats dwell somewhere in the deep south based on the rich soulful sound they procure, you’d be wrong in that assumption. This Brooklyn based outfit is far from the Mississippi backroads, even though their sound may beg to differ.
The rich and brooding sounds have to be amazing to see live, which is why we recommend you catch these guys live. Every fiber in our being is suggesting that it would be an amazing show.
