The young Swedish gun Kasbo has delivered his free EP, Umbrella Club, this week through his website. The five track EP digs into the future bass style, but Kasbo makes sure to bring forth productions that aren’t just your run of the mill status. Although it’s not specifically a celebratory EP, the producer will be performing for the first time in the United States on the ODESZA tour later this month.
With every single being within the future realm, Kasbo had to bring some variety, which he does. He manages to keep things fresh throughout, making it a project where you won’t be skipping any tracks. One of the most infectious singles is “Fuck Love,” which is as beautiful as it is provocative. Most of the EP is upbeat like that single, but he switches things up halfway with the softer record “I Don’t Get It.” With his first original project out in the open, Kasbo has audiences everywhere already wanting more.
