Designer Drugs are not your typical DJ’s. They are not there to make you laugh, they are not there to make you dance, and they certainly are not there to play the top 40 pop songs. Quite frankly these guys dj with one simple purpose: To make you completely lose your shit! Seriously, with the rise of EDM music and how easy is to download an app and call yourself a dj, the game has been saturated with an incredible amount of mediocre players. Designer Drugs’ ability to create an aggressive combination of brutally melodic electronic is what separates them from the rest, and this Datamix 13 clearly shows that. We are used to DD going hardcore, but not all the way to hardcore metal and we are definitely pleased with the results. Designer Drugs will be playing at SXSW this week so make sure you check them out.
