Porno Music Volume II: TSFR
Leather Corduroys, consisting of Chitown’s own Kami de Chukwu and Joey Purp, dropped off a brand new EP a couple nights ago and it continue to show why their SaveMoney collective is here to stay. Porno Music Volume II: TSFR, which has no predecessor despite its strange sequel-implying title, is an eclectic and often refreshingly strange mix of music reflective of the state of Midwestern hip-hop.
With production and lyrical content that progressively ranges from lo-fi to full-on trap, the EP is full of creative energy and expression. An especially dope track, “Nightmare on Chicago Ave,” comes on around the 6-minute mark, when the two emcees drop all playfulness and demonstrate that they can hold their own next to any rapper out there.
It is evident through the cohesiveness of the EP that these artists took the time to think about their project as a whole, making it a start-to-finish must listen. Enjoy this one above and look for more heat from SaveMoney this summer.
