While Lupe’s last two singles haven’t been very convincing, I can now safely say that’s he back to making the same quality music that initially earned him his dedicated fanbase. On “Lamborghini Angels” Lupe Fiasco brings that same political and social awareness that separates him from the masses, touching on subjects as graphic as child molestation and as diverse as materialistic indulgence. Before dropping his new track, he even sent out a warning out through Twitter for those who might be easily offended by the subject matter, which likely served as a great way to increase the buzz surrounding this cut. As with most Lupe tracks, while the content may get pretty serious, the song itself is incredibly catchy. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear this dominating the radiowaves for what remains of summer.

Be on the look out for Lupe Fiasco’s new album with the incredibly long name, Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1 (we really need a new acronym for that), set to drop on September 25th.
