While there’s still a few weeks left in the year, it’s hard not to look ahead to 2013 with absolute giddiness over what the music world has in store for us. Cue: Ellinor Olovsdotter, aka Elliphant, a new Swedish artist whose music is a ferocious & undeniably contagious blend of indie and electronic. For a little more context, her material thus far has been described as the “illegitimate offspring of MIA and Diplo“; as crazy as that sounds, it’s a pretty spot on tagline. Her recently released single “Down On Life” is the perfect big introduction to her style, cleverly putting her in position to really blow up early next year when her self-titled EP drops.
