From the second ‘Lament’ starts, it seems that Mount Moriah, AKA Jenks Miller and Heather McEntire, are one of those special bands. The folk-rock duo have been hard at work recording their debut LP – a great album stuffed with collaborations with St Vincent, Gayngs and Megafaun. But ‘Lament’ sees Miller and McEntire stand on their own, and what a track it is. Gorgeously impassioned vocals and rocky guitars drive the song and ensure it will be a favourite with many.
