Oklahoma five-piece Other Lives have been around for a little while now, playing support slots for The National (amongst other bands) and building up their fan base slowly but surely. ‘For 12’, from their forthcoming sophomore record, is an incredible slice of haunting indie-rock. Like Coldplay with added grittiness, the orchestral arrangements and guitars complement each other, making this an anthemic track that will wow fans of indie, rock, and pop. Expect Other Lives to be stepping up to the headlining slots in the near future. ‘For 12’ is featured on the album ‘Tamer Animals’, available August 29 via TBD Records.
