When Providence’s Magic Man mix indie and synth-pop together, they don’t produce some filtered, overly sweet gummy explosion — they get something far more sophisticated and backed by substance. Take “Texas” for example. Though dreamy and swaying at times, it’s not without any forceful, rockin’ punctuation marks every once in awhile. It’s the kind of track that will keep you in the clouds, but also get you a little muddied up. Check it out.
