Based out of Liverpool, Jethro Fox creates the kind of heavenly indie-pop that you’d swear was pieced together by a full, five-member band. But the “biblically named singer from a family of Atheists” just happens to be an enormously talented multi-instrumentalist. His newest song, “Blinding Light,” is as charming and saccharine as can be — full of smooth, flawless harmonies and an irresistible melody that pulls at you like an alluring outstretched arm. Right away, I’m reminded of Grizzly Bear, specifically “Two Weeks,” which is a damn good song.
With all of that being said, the Music Ninja is happy to premiere the official music video for “Blinding Light”. Directed by Lost In The Specific, it’s a beautiful piece of work, visually satisfying with its use of various patterns of lights and colors. Much like the surreal sonic experience of the track itself, the video, too, has a sense of pure dreaminess as it shows the cute closeness of a relationship.
Jethro Fox’s “Blinding Light” single is out now on Tough Love Records.
